    Weight of S4 VS SQ5

Currently I hold the fastest time for the SQ5 @ 11.001@124.55 But was curious what the weight of these low 10 second S4's are. I have every bolt on, only thing I can add is probably meth for cooling, and a ported blower... Has anyone weighed one with all the seats and trunk stuff out etc??

List your weight and what was removed?

I am sitting at 4025, no driver. all panels removed, seats except stock driver seat, console, sub etc. removed. 9lb battery, AG 20lbs wheels

Mine isn't a low 10 sec car. But I have weighed mine, so you can get some sort of baseline.

3880lbs without me in it, using a certified truck scale. Full tank of gas, spare in the trunk, full interior. 2013 S4 Manual (I think manual is a bit lighter than a DSG) and aftermarket wheels that are 23ish lbs each (not sure what stock is).

Keep in mind aerodynamics play a big factor too, the s4 is more streamlined than the flying brick of a q5.

Even if both cars weighed 4000 lbs, at 120 MPH a q5 would be spending 124 hp just to overcome drag, and at 130 MPH, that jumps to 155 hp. This is a Cd of 0.33 and 28.417 sq ft. frontal area.

Even if you could somehow get the car to 3800 lbs, it only drops things to 123 hp and 154.3 hp respectively.

An S4 with a Cd of 0.28 and a frontal area of 23.681 sq ft, only needs 92.6 HP to overcome drag at 120 MPH and 115.6 to go 130.

In other words, it takes a lot more power to get the big SUV moving at the same speed as an S4, and weight almost doesn't matter at those speeds at a certain point, which is probably what you are seeing now. Drag is now your primary concern, and there just isn't much you can do there other than lower the car, and even that won't help that much.

Ported blower would be the best bet for you. It's likely worth enough to get you over that hump.

So cut the roof off and put one of those old school hot rod windshields on that are like 6” tall. Then post pics. Please.
