    Finally decided on an A7!

So I’m probably going to pull the trigger on a 2017-2018 A7. I’m moving to NYC So S7/RS7 would’ve just been overkill for me and I’ve already had an S7 last year till I crashed it lol. I’ll probably buy one at 35-40k miles on it already Any users on here have any big issues with the A7s?

I had to do my timing chains at 205,000 miles but up to that point all seemed good.

I just picked up a 17 A7 with 38k miles. Took it to a specialty shop and they told me these cars don't have many issues. Only problem with them is they get a coolant leak under the super charger that could get into the engine. As long as you stay on top of the maintenance, these cars are tanks.

I bought a 2017 with almost the same mileage last year from Open Road Audi (Audi of Manhattan) and have had a couple random electrical problems. It's currently in the shop now at Audi Meadowlands, which I can't say I'd recommend as a dealer, to hopefully get the softclose trunk motor replaced as it closes but doesn't lock.

I also had a random key not recognized & start/stop system malfunction, which the dealer said was a result of a bad antenna.

Other than that though, it's been great. Minus the windows squealing when it gets wet, but apparently that's a known Audi thing.

Doesn’t sound bad. I just put a deposit down on one that has 43k miles (2017) which isn’t a lot to me but had 2 owners and no service records from 20-43k miles I’m gonna just get it a warranty and call it a day

Nice. Congrats on the purchase. I bought an extended warranty for mine (~4500). My car came CPO but having come from a long line of German cars, I know that when anything mechanical breaks, it's usually $$$$$ so I got an extended warranty to cover it.

Who did you get your warranty through?
