Just got my 04 a4 .18t avant and trying to get it all working right I have this red brake light flashing, did some research scanned the abs module no error, brake fluid full, replaced brake level fluid sensor with another and no change. Anyone have any ideas on what the cause is?

Have you checked to make sure the float in the reservoir isn’t stuck down? Other posts have said to take the strainer out from the fill hole and stick your finger in to free it up. Do a search google and the posts will pop up.

FWIW, I had a similar issue before. Not sure what work was performed attempting to try and fix it, but it ended up being the fluid reservoir was too low. I know you mentioned it is full, but I thought mine was too. Mine was not full per se, but had enough (I keep it slightly above the minimum line on my daily driver)...so I thought. Put in a little more and light went away.

Yeah first check to do would be to make sure you have enough brake fluid and if the level sensor is operating properly. The only things I can think of that would cause a flashing brake light is low brake fluid or an issue with the ABS module.

Well this is the second level sensor I put in which leads me to believe it had something to do with the float have no idea how to get that strainer out though
I unplugged the sensor and thr flashing light went away so I either get a new reservoir or try to fix the float

Put in a replacement reservoir and plugged sensor in and it's all fixed.
