Panther Black Crystal

Thought about playing it safe and going with Mythos, but decided to take a chance with the purple. Without seeing the color in person, I purchased a low mileage 2018 RS7 Performance from a dealer in Ohio and had it shipped to California. For anyone else on the fence, get the Panther Black! It's like having two cars and the color change is dramatic.

Mods so far include painted side markers and Akrapovic Exhaust:




Car is at the detailer now getting 3M wrap and ceramic coating. KW HAS, 034 control arms, and spacers up next. Tuning after the CPO warranty expires.


re: Bose vs B&O - I'll also note that I test drove an RS7 (w/Bose) at the local dealership. Mine came with the B&O option which is a nice upgrade.

Sad that there’s so few mint-ish C7.5 RS7s out there, we can all identify them. Hopefully there’s a mad bunch of collectors who get bored with driving them 2x a year and decide to dump them.

Yep, it was traded in for an RSQ8. Previous owner took really good care of it, 18k miles and hardly a scratch.

Agreed. Nice to see advances in paint chemistry. Mine was done in Havanna Black (color code 4J, Lacquer Number LY8X) which Audi apparently has used for at least a decade. Looks black at a distance but at certain angles mahogany brown highlights are visible. Let us know how you like the 3M product.

Late response to this, I thought it was interesting because I also have a 2014 RS7 in Panther Black fully loaded with Akrapovic titaniums! It’s super awesome and I love it!
