Allroad isn't ALLROADable | Bumper clip broke

    Hey all,

So I wasn't offroading or anything, just thought it'd be a funny title. Anyway was driving through the city in a part of town where roads are narrow. Idiot in opposing line driving a pickup gets scared of all the cars parked alongside and serves over into my lane. Instinctively, steer right and then brake. Felt my wheel curb and saw my fog light cover sitting in the snow. Turns out I curbed my wheel then hit a small snow pile. Saw my passenger side bumper popped off and with a closer inspection saw the clip snapped off between the bumper and the fender (Pic 1; this is the damage). I also noticed that the painted part of the bumper by the grille had also losened where it meets the unpainted plastic (Pic 2; not my car; drew over the part/union I'm talking about). I was wondering if anyone who has experience with these bumpers knows if I can somehow plastic weld a tab back on for the tabs by the fender and how to have the union between the painted and unpainted parts of the bumper by the grille to stay in place, as the looseness is not allowing my fog light cover to completely snap in.

    Thanks

    Ouch!
I hate those situations when you avoid an accident that would've been clearly the other person's fault, but you sustain damage, but you have to deal with/pay for it because you saved THEIR ass.

Take a look at my thread. I'd say I have some experience with these bumpers.

Also, here's a link to the front bumper parts, so you can see how the tabs are supposed to look on the cover, grille, and lower lip to try to understand what broke.
Hope this helps. You will likely need to remove the bumper and assess the damage from the rear to properly repair it.
    Good luck!
