I've been following Naptown Tuner for a few months now. It went from technical info with a crazy guy twist to extreme/unrealistic crap like what you saw. While I'd love to have more subscribers to my channel I don't want to discredit what I'm offering by doing something unprofessional/unrealistic. I'll save that for my next channel: Yogi's Crazy, Stupid Shit

Naptown tuner is definitely a "quirky" person and has some internal sadness glowing through at times in some of his videos, but he's definitely not an idiot. I'm gonna say gen 2 ea888 are like 2 strokes anyway, so makes sense to put some oil in the gas. I'm joking of course. I don't really care that his shop doesn't look like an operating room, if anything, his videos show how the stuff gets done by most of the flat rate techs, not the high end guys who might be doing things "the right way" on camera but have their own shortcuts when not being filmed. He often talks about what can and can't be skimped on when doing some jobs or how to bypass some tedious official procedures. I'd actually say his ea888 rebuild videos are actually pretty good. He does seem to have rebuilt quite a lot of these engines but working on so many Audis made him lose his sanity) I think the problem is you can only do so many informative videos about a single engine, it's almost invariably either timing chain/guides, or pistons and rings plus r&r. So he just sort of ran out of content. But some of his stuff is pretty impressive, check out this 1 hr outdoor engine pull:

Many diesel guys do use used vegetable oil to save money! They have to clean injectors and replace fuel filters more often
