Seems like a few on here have asked about the adjustment lengths, equaling (fill in blank) drop, per turn. I have the TGK links that Eligh referenced in the video above. TGK recommends no more than 8 total turns per link or possible errors and headlight adjustments might pop up. Each turn roughly equates to a .25” drop. I adjusted my links to mirror the OEM ones, then adjusted them according to the drop I was after. Reinstalled, all good to go. Mind you, adjusted mine off the vehicle, measured with a micrometer and then installed them. Set and forget. Zero issues to report 👍🏼

Great feedback. BTW, did you have your vehicle aligned afterward? I'm not convinced that an alignment is necessary, but then again, I will at least have it checked just in case.

Could just be me / subjective, but I re align anytime I change anything suspension (geometry) related. Again, subjective. The cost of an alignment is nothing compared to a set of 275 tires 😂

I got an alignment and it took them a while to get it dialed in. Car felt better afterwards.

Thanks for all the info guys! I'm looking into getting a set of links as well. For the function, it seems any brand will suffice.

I've noticed a lot of discussion about number of turns. Since all manufacturers are probably different, perhaps the better thing to share is the length people are using from the center to center of cup (of front and rear links) and what ride height that achieves.
This way, it wouldn't matter what brand you have.

Nice! How much drop to did you gain? What’s your tire / wheel setup?

I lowered a total of 1", front and raised the back 1". Split the adjustments evenly.

Can I ask what your measurement was/is? Curious how low you have them set to. I also have an Azores Green SQ5 and ordered lowering links. Your ride height looks great. Thanks!

I finally got around to purchasing some Airmatic links last month and getting ready to install them. I appreciate all the help in this thread, but I’m curious (and may have missed it somewhere) if anyone measured the length of the links front & rear before install? I’m aiming to close the wheel gap on a 21” wheel, but don’t need to tuck the wheels. I’m curious if any of you have measurement information for the length of the links prior to installing them? Any help/guidance/measurements (and fender height after) would be greatly appreciated!

So I just did mine tonight and want to go mess with it tomorrow morning again some more in some daylight. Im sitting around 29 1/4" all the way around and looks pretty sick. I am curious tho....why do you need to make them the OEM length and then adjust how you want it? Why not just make them shorter or lonf=ger from the get go seeing the control arm module you snap it on is loose anyways?

Hey everyone I just got my 034 lowering links today but I can't seem to find any information on the max amount of turns. I have seen every where the TGK ones are max 8 turns but nothing on the 034. Does anyone have any suggestions or information?

Yes its the same, max 4turns each end. Make sure you put your car in lift mode or you wont get any results. Ask me how I know.

    Installed last night

So I got mine installed last night I had a few little hiccups that I had to deal with, but was able to get them on in about hour and a half. will say I am not super happy with the outcome though.
I was hoping for a bit more drop. I installed 034 links, did 4 turns on each end.
Sitting at 30“ all the way around. would like another half inch (TWSS).

What does this have to do with lowering links? There is a sticky thread specifically to ask random questions.

I think you're supposed to put the car in "wheel change mode" prior to uninstalling stock/installing lowering links?

    Lowering Links

Has anyone used the ECS Tuning static lowering links that are red and yellow in color… says it will lower it 1.5” front and rear. I find no info on here… I just don’t wanna mess with adjusting a link.

I like the concept, but they should have opted for lower options I feel. I think most of us on links end up near the max low setting. Sell a preset 8 turn rod and I’m in 😜

So how many inches is Max versus the 1.5 inch that they preset? Only half an inch?

Preciate this info. Crawled underneath the car today to install my lowering links.

The most tedious part is getting the oem link off of the plastic ball joints. Other than that, easy install.

I wish I would have seen this before installing the links. My car is now throwing the suspension and light codes among others. The rear is jacked way up. I may just go back to stock.

Yes. It was laying very low after install. Then I thought it was too low. I went from Dynamic to Comfort and thought it was perfect. THEN it threw the suspension and Light codes. Then it jacked up the rear of the car.

Did you start with them at OE length and then adjust? How many turns?

When I installed my CTS links I did 10 half turns shorter in the front and 12 half turns longer in the rear over stock lengths to get to 29.25" all around (dynamic).
