    In preparation for upgrading my heat exchanger, is there a good comparable coolant to OEM I can purchase from Amazon?

    Any reason not to just pick up some G13? I find at least around me the European stuff can be hard to come by.

    100% I bought a bottle at my local AutoZone for next to nothing (like $5 on sale). Like other people have said because it's not pre-mix you can extend the bottle for a long time.

    Pink is silicate free. Actually G12+. Purple is silicate enhanced. g13. Both work in our cars. Purple is supposed to last longer - up to 150,000 miles. It is a little more environmental friendly, but perhaps not quite as efficient in cooling. Or, that is my understanding.

    That's interesting ... I thought all coolants were now silicate free to prevent/reduce impeller wear.

    Just a heads up with coolant, you can always go up higher grades of "G" coolant but cannot go down when topping off/adding a partial amount. So if your car came with G13, you should not/cannot put G12 in it. Also I would not mix different grades if you are going up, stick to what is in there unless your flushing the whole system.

    Edit: I read this wrong at first but figured it out. Either way this should help clear up compatibility hopefully.

    A new coolant was introduced in MY 2019. It's G12evo, Audi RTU PN: G-12E-050-1G-DSP.

    Except for the e-tron, it can be mixed with G11, G12, G12+, G12++, and G13, but it will cause a reduction in corrosion protection.

    e-tron requires G12evo and can't be mixed with others.
