Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Currently The car is APR Stage 3+ with most of what APR has to offer for the car thats bolt on. Included wheels and suspension as it was one of there promo cars. I blew the engine so I am going all out on the build but I do not want to change the turbo or go E85 as it is not readily available for where I currently love. Here is a list of what I am currently doing on the build as we speak. I am looking for some assistance in making sure this is a solid 10 sec car and any mods I am missing out on that can make a significant difference.

    Current Mod list

I am unsure if it has the following
Updated APR tuning for TCU and ECU
    Upgraded LPFP

I am sure I am missing a bunch of thinks but please give me some ideas of what else I would address. I have a lot of cars I need to beat and a lot of cars of track days id like to attend. I also have an R8 (along with all the other Audi's except an rs7, rs6, rs5) so my sense of speed is slightly skewed because it is starting to feel slow. I would also like to keep in mind lightening the vehicle up. I do plan on running the high octane file from APR.

    Give me some ideas guys.

Oh and before someone says something like,"you should have gotten an RS3 and modded that" I already have a TTRS and I have a think for making the middle middle faster. Everyone already expect the RS3/TTRS to be fast.

It looks like you already know what to do and what direction you want to take. The only things I can think of are not using the bike rack and the CTS Lightweight Crank Pulley. Maybe also some CF panels and removing the back seat. And maybe sone little suspension bits and pieces. Other than that you have it covered, especially with that built motor, car is going to be a monster!

I’m curious to see what the car weighs fully gutted before you put the cage in. Are you talking no rear seat type “gutted” or full gut removing ~500 pounds?

Why not the bike rack? It would be more of a novelty but I was contemplating a roof rack instead. What are your thoughts on the LWCP from CTS? I will be removing the back seats obviously and finding light weight panels is not as easy as you would think. I would love some fenders, hood and trunk. What suspension parts do you think I am missing. Motor should be done in 2 weeks

I think I would be happy with shaving 200lbs. I wish I knew how much the cage will add. 200 is already a stretch because I am adding probably at lease 50lbs and rigidity parts

Maybe others can chime in but for our cars fluid damper pulleys seem to be pretty good.

On some cars the lightweight pulley affects the motor because they make the pulley smaller (that's why they include a new belt, smaller than OEM) and it a spins the alternator, AC differently to free up 5-10 HP (supposedly). Some people mention that they prevent the battery from properly charging. There's a lot of debate but these are expensive cars and I would not risk it. IMHO of course.

IMHO, roof racks should be if you really are using them for their intended purpose. And on a performance car being as built as you are doing is just unnecessary weight.

But again if you ride bikes, snowboard, etc. It's cool.

    Suspension

    Front and rear endlinks
    Control arms
    Change every bushing you can!
Front and rear sway bars (not sure if this is in the mod list)
    Front upper strut brace

Also the engine and transmission mounts. Most people like the BFI mounts.

I think a company called Darwin Pro makes a CF hood for the car.

And I'm not sure if one of the braces you mentioned goes in the trunk of the car.

That's all I can think of lol. Sorry for the multiple posts.

    NO Worries on the multiple.

The controls arms, endlinks, Sways, mounts are done. I am going to do the Ultra racing tower braces for the front and rear. I actually do a good bit of mountain biking so I do want to use them. The Car will also match my bike so its technically part of the show part of the car. And Thanks for the input on Darwin Pro

Very cool. Eurocode also makes a nice rear brace.
