Nice...Looks like a proper English version self study guide. Not the "google translate" version.

I love seeing things like this, followed by some vendor's random product that was tested for one afternoon on a dyno and "out performs" factory parts.

Cool, I thought they were the powdered iron type rods and not forged. That explains why they can handle up to 500wtq ... nice

Someone explain what I am missing here. Surely you don't need to remove the timing chain to remove the valve cover.

I believe the cam shafts are bolted to the valve cover not the head itself if that makes sense.

I see on page nine it's not really a traditional valve cover. It looks like you need to remove the side cover over the cam phasers, remove the chain (and maybe phasers?) and then you can pull it off with the cams attached. Maybe this is the way all the Audi valvelift systems are, never paid attention before. Kind of weird but it certainly seems a lot more stable.

yea its not really a valve cover. They call it a "cylinder head cover". it is a little odd for sure. In the literature it says its done this way to eliminate vibrations at high speed since its a more rigid assembly. Not sure how true that is or not. Certainly interesting. I guess the downside is that some of the cam bearings are built directly into the head itself so you can't really replace the bearings if they get damaged (requires new head).

Yup, pretty stoked about that. Also explains why some cars can take abuse with power mods making over 600hp/700hp on stock block. Not sure it will last that long at those power levels but still.

I guess the rods are just too skinny to handle more torque than 500?
