Apparently not all prestige cars had leather knee rests. I have a Prestige (called Technik in Canada), with every option except B&O and I had to buy the leather knee rests on ebay and do the swap.

I figured it was just something S6's have and not A6s since a lot more of the interior (like the door armrests) is leather covered

I've been looking for a knee rest did not know they had an OEM option! I have a A7 Prestige and definitely do not have this.

100%. It's one of the few things I disliked about this car, because many other cars in this price range have them. I looked into getting the parts but the MSRP is...quite high especially when you pretty much have to do all 4

It's a custom piece done by a local auto upholstery shop. I had some extra Alcantara so it was a no-brainer. The difficult part is removing the top leather trim piece without breaking the tabs that hold it in place. He also mentioned that Audi uses some super-human glue, it was a PITA removing the leather.

All in all, it turned out well.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to think this. My car's original vinyl door cards have definitely not held up well over the last 10 years of hot weather. I just bought a set of 4 (white leather) ones out of a wrecked S7 for $800. What a transformation! I need to post pics.

My A7 was a PP car, and I was determined to make it the absolute best it could be... it has all of the elements of an S7/RS7...
After 9 years, I'm still excited when I open the door and get seated inside.

You might be right... however, in my PP trim A7, I could not remove the plastic knee pad at all. I had to retrofit a tunnel that could accept the leather pad.

Most pieces were bought new from audiusaparts, genuineaudiparts, and from a 2016 RS7 that was deemed a total loss. A few Alcantara-covered pieces are custom, the work was done by an auto upholstery shop. knees rests, front seat trims, and shifter.

I wanted to update this old thread of mine... I changed the red Alcantara door panels with Alpine white leather and an exclusive mix of piano and RS carbon. The steering wheel is the latest, the only missing piece is a bezel-less RR mirror w/compass. Can't find one in the right size that works with my PR codes.

JWebb, I bought the RS carbon parts from my local Audi dealer in the Twin Cities. They basically gave me the same price as would the online Audi parts stores, such as genuineaudiparts.com...

Before I changed to carbon, I bought the complete set of piano parts. So I now have a combo set-up. The carbon is on the doors, center console, and ashtray cover. My dash, MMI surround and instrument panel trim is piano.

super late reply, but if you have the CF ashtray cover and center counsel trim available, please let me know. My car is going in for some minor body work, new rear seats, and all new trunk parts, but i'm thinking about replacing the center console upon its return. The CF, i think, would look cool with the silver inlay in dash and doors.

Amazing transformation, I'm about to do the headliner and was looking for some install info and noticed that you have B&O and the headliner installed does not have the little mic's did you transfer them over from the old one and not punch them through. any negative effect?

I must be missing something, "little mics..." No adverse affects, as far as I know.

Thanks for getting back to me, I was under the impression all B&O equipped C7's came with ANC which has 4 microphones in the headliner. time to start the tear down :)

Simply incredible work - I have been trying to locate a salvage S7 or RS7 but they seem to sell at a premium on auction (mostly exported overseas!). Very tasteful upgrades that have radically transformed the interior of your car well done!
