Subtle!?!? You changed steering wheel, seats, inlay, etc and it looks awesome! I noticed the red seat belts and after I get everything figured out with my car I was thinking that would be a nice addition to my seats with red stitching. Was that a pretty easy change to make?

Solid work as always.

I had my body shop put together a quote to swap my vinyl wrapped aluminum window trim for OE gloss black. Some parts need paint like the mirror bases. $6600 LOL.

Considering vinyl wrap was $200, I'll just continue to rewrap it as needed until the day I die.

What materials and where did you get the headliner redone? I have been interested in converting my oem grey headliner to black. Did you do a full part replacement or reskinned the original pieces?

I got lucky a couple of years ago, there was a wrecked 2016 RS7 in Chicago and I jumped on it. I had been looking for just black cloth, then this fell into my lap. I was delighted, to say the least.
I will also add, this mod as is most, is for my own edification. No one will notice, but when I glance upward, the view is pretty nice.

The super-sport seats were not ventilated.

After seeing widebodyfx, doing the console tunnel retrofit on his PP TDI, I was encouraged to complete the last stage of my "Ambient lighting upgrade." I've done:
1. The front upper console
2. rear upper lighting
3. illuminated door sills

The final installment is the center console floating light effect...

I think I'm going to replace the piano center console and storage trim with the RS7 carbon.




Maybe I can get the USB ports to work


And one day, during the next pandemic, I'll do the 4 zone climate control mod, NOT!

No, not at all. There are two types of Alcantara, panel and cover. The panel is specifically for seating surfaces and the like, we used cover on the armrest, it's durable.

I ordered some bits from Audi and some parts came from Audi test cars in Germany. (not quite sure what that means) The parts are damn near perfect though!
But if they are not, or something was missing, I source new from Audi.

Nice transformation log. I'm always surprised about the condition of a lot of European parts being so damn pristine. In comparison to some seats and other bits in the US which can be thrashed. Glass indentations on seats is super common.

If you have a Premium or Premium+ car, you will need to do some wiring work. I think you would also need to change the tunnel itself. The Prestige cars had leather knee rests. I'm not certain if you can just add the lightbars to the P or PP tunnel? Not sure I'm making sense or not, but this is what I know and has been my experience. The complete ambient lighting package includes the Front and rear upper consoles, door sills, door panels, and center console.

That's a great point, the stuff from Germany is almost always in such nice condition, and packaged well for travel.

My reason for thinking they are different is: On my early 2012 C7 A7, the knee pads were not even removable. It was plastic molded into the tunnel. Looking at your pic side by side, they look similar, but I thought different. Does it look like the lightbar can attach to the upper leading edge? I do see where the led would snap in? Who the hell knows? Lol-

You might be right... however, in my PP trim A7, I could not remove the plastic knee pad at all. I had to retrofit a tunnel that could accept the leather pad.
