    Q7 right rear seat rattle

I am literally going to trade this thing in if I can’t find this seat rattle! It’s a 2018 Q7 and the right rear seat rattles somewhere in the track and I cannot figure it out. It is not in the third row it is directly behind the passenger seat. If I flip the seat up I can duplicate the rattle by just wiggling the seat. It’s like a constant clicking and it’s driving me insane. I’ve been racking miles on my RS7 to avoid driving it! Anyone got any ideas? I’ve searched forums and the only thing I find is people saying they had the dealership replace the entire seat but it didn’t sound promising when I called my stealership. Thanks for any help!

Did you check the seat frame bolts to make sure they're tight? What about the seat bottom cushion? If someone is sitting in the seat, does it still rattle?

I would remove the seat cushion and see what you can observe.

First remove the small cushion that conceals the child seat anchors.

Stick your head under the front edge of the seat. There is a felt cover under the seat with a plastic clip that grips onto a metal rod. Pull the felt cover off this rod.

Then you'll see a small silver lever. Actuate this lever and then pull up on the seat cushion frame. The whole cushion will come off. It will pop out of plastic clips front and back.

i have had the entire interior out of my 2018 Q7 last month, from the driver's seats to the cargo area. It comes apart and goes back together pretty easily if you know what you're doing and are careful.

Heard the same thing and looked everywhere for it! It may be the sunroof/moonroof rails. A quick way to see if it stops is by opening the sunroof. It’s a known issue and I had to go to my local dealership twice to finally get them to order me new frame and rails. It’s a big project but worth the fix

I just had the last safety recall performed today, C pillar . Tech mentioned about a rattle issue some Q7 were having. It may be it.
So i just threw it outhere.
