    Liqui Moly engine flush?

Considering using this in my kids A4 2.0. It has about 196k on the clock. Is this a bad idea. Just don’t know enough about the last 194k miles to have good feel of maintenance done other than it was mostly dealer serviced. Would like to remove any sludge as safely as possible but don’t want to risk clogging the oil pick up screen. I will do another oil change soon when he is home for the holidays and will be using Liqui Moly 5w-40. Will be the second time changing oil on this car and only about 3k miles on it.

I used this on my Touareg that I bought with 50k on it. Didn’t have a real solid history on it. I ended up flushing and draining it. I then dropped the pan and cleaned the pickup. Not sure how hard that would be on a 2.0t

I have used it on my A4 with no adverse effects.
I have used similar formulas on my previous cars, with no adverse effects. Also used lamp oil. It’s all been fine.

I do an extra filter and oil change using a cheaper oil and filter so I drain it twice essentially to get it all out before filling a premium oil.

I think it wont have anyb adverse affects. But I also think it's a waste of time and money. But if it will make you feel better, go for it.
Regular oil changes is all it needs. Modern oils and fuel have detergent in them.
Dropping the pan on this model is a non starter.

It's like you stealing a turbo and not paying for it.

didn't notice a difference in performance. If it cleaned the inside so be it.

I used it when I bought an '04 A6 2.7t a few months ago. The crankcase breather system was shot and there was a lot of dried up oil in the hoses. I thought it would be a good idea to try something to clean up sludge.

Followed the instructions carefully and had no problems after. Can't really tell how much good it did but nothing bad happened.
