    RS6 Lease Terms?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi all. I was planning to purchase my RS6 but thought I’d ask the dealer for some lease quotes. On a 36 month, the residual was fairly good at ~60% but the MF is .00341 which calculates to 8.2%, crazy high. What are others seeing?

Not able to answer your question, but I couldnt imagine leasing it. The residual is going to be SUPER out of whack with what market is (at this point, unless they flood with inventory)...Car will be worth way more after 3 years, IMHO. I got 2.7% from AFS (66 months) after I told the F&I person that Bank of America was giving me 2.9% for 72. Thought that was a pretty strong rate.

The dealer is making the money on the MF, you can get lower but there is no motivation for the dealer to go lower

Audi Care will increase residual by 1%....mine on my tribute car was 61%

The nice thing about a lease is if you own it sort term, in Florida you only pay sales tax on the payment...not the car

Think my lease was $2,200 incl tax

I only owned the car a month thou....sold both my RS6....moved to Utah for the winter and bought a SQ7.....new RS6 shows up Feb 01

The advertised lease numbers on Audi West Chester website seem very reasonable. Not sure they are the actual numbers but that's what it says. My 2020 S6 MF was .00018.

60% at 36 months seems like a reasonable residual. I know values and excitement are up now, but these cars will depreciate.

That MF seems reasonable. Would like to know what MF others are getting on leases of RS6s. Thx!

Maybe its totally different for RS7 but I got the buy rate on mine last month which was .00166. Their first pencil was way higher as they always want to markup MF. Residual was 60%. This was the first RS car that I've ever been able to lease as most of the time the terms are laughable like Porsche.

With Audicare mine is 61% actually. Canada may be way different or RS7 vs. RS6, however I have to imagine lease terms would be similar.

Using the audi.ca payment estimator it looks like the 36 month residual is about 52%. no wonder they include audi care!

Here is what I got quoted in Canada (Calgary) for a 48 Month Lease @ 20,000km/yr.

    Financed Amount: $138,169
    Interest Rate: 4.98%
    Term: 48
    Residual: 44%
    Buy Out Price: $58,454
    Lease Payment: $2,069.06
    After Tax (5%): $2,172.51

I will most likely finance the car through a heloc at 1.79% rather than finance with Audi

60% seems way off for an RS 50% sounds more likely. IIRC the residual on the TTRS was 48% before AC. Now granted this particular car they may be anticipating a very strong second hand market for the lease returns, but generally they run high residuals to make low lease payments so the car is attractive to more buyers and they can move them in quantity. None of that applies here obviously as this is low production high demand car.

Either Audi is REALLY trying to move anything and everything or someone at corporate fat fingered the value. lol

I hope they don't fix it next year, I've been budgeting based on an assumed residual of high 40s/low 50s, if they are rolling 60% before AC maybe I will spring for AE interior as well as paint.

That's why in the past it never made sense to lease an RS to most people based on MF and residual. I went into my deal thinking I was going to buy (financing already arranged) expecting the same lease figures as its always been. When I saw MF and residual, on my 21 RS7 it was a no brainer for me.

I'd like to see those leases where the residual is 60% because that sounds very unlikely. Would the residuals of the RS6 be very different from an RS7?
As mentioned, Audi does NOT need to move these vehicles(RS6), there is plenty of demand so setting a high residual makes no financial sense from their perspective imho.

Right, I leased the TTRS because it was damn near 50% split after the AC and I only pay property tax on the lease amount not the whole car so saving there, but yeah if they slapped down 60% residual I'd break my wrist signing and saying "No backsies!!!!" lmao

Personally, I'm not opposed to an out of whack low residual. Opens up the end of lease options imo.
Also presents a nice advantage if the lease was business expensed and you buyout on a personal basis.

I'll likely buy but will certainly explore leasing.

When I took delivery in September my residual was/is 60% for 36/12

Edit: Its still 58% for a low mile lease today
