Taking S6 seats and putting them into C7 A6

I have Sport seats from a 2008 S6 that I’d like to put into my 2012 C7 a6. I noticed that the the harness is not 100% the same and not a direct plug and play. Has anyone done this swap before and have any info on what I need to do to get power to the seats so that I can adjusts them?

I did a quick search but if there is a thread I could be directed to with this info, that would work too.

    Thanks all

Not sure the details involved with making older seats work. Power and heat probably not difficult (do you have cooled seats now?), seat airbags should be similar or at least possible to still work. PODS (passenger occupancy detection system) for the passenger seat might be weird since it's a different system. https://www.ebay.com/p/735577630 You could possibly try to transfer the PODS from your existing seat to the older seat and retain the same electronics which is what is going to throw a code or not. C7 S6 seats not an option?

Save yourself the pain and anguish, just find a set of NA S6 Supersport seats they're becoming more available at reasonable costs.

Pretty common knowledge that C7 Super Sport Seats are plug n' play into any C7, so are you saying, the C6 S6 seats are the same?

You've lost me based on your original post?

I just did this. Seats are from 2008 s6. I put them into 2012 C7.

What I did is, snip the airbag connector and red harness on both sets of seats. And swap them. Simply switching the positive and negative will give you power to the seats and heat and movement will work. You will have to ply around with the wires to be able to get the seat setting memory to work. If that doesn’t bother you then you’re good to go.

You will through a soft airbag code which needs to be cleared with vag. I also got a soft steering stability light. This will need to be cleared with vag too.

This is off topic, but are those LED interior bulbs? Where did you source them from?

    Thank you!

I wasn’t sure if everyone knew c7 s6 sport seats are a direct swap to a c7 a6, in fact I think one of the top upgrades to do as it is much more sporty and better thigh support.

Not sure what super sport seats are, is that the diamond stitch s6 seat?

Yup yup, well documented on here the sport seats from the RS and S fit into A cars. A6sport has had S7 seats in his car for a long time. I've done RS6/7 seats into A cars too.
