Slight hood gap normal?

Hey y'all, I recently purchased a 2018 S5 sportback and I noticed some hood gap. It's more obvious above the grill, headlights and towards the side badges. It almost overhangs off the side. Is this normal?

Hey y'all, I recently purchased a 2018 S5 sportback and I noticed some hood gap. It's more obvious above the grill, headlights and towards the side badges. It almost overhangs off the side. Is this normal?

My 2019 RS5 SB also seems to have the same hood overlap (overbite) on both sides, which appears to be a "design feature".

Normally hoods tend to drop into a space flush with a small gap, but not on the B9 SB.

Completely normal and same on mine. Its a styling feature. Looks great from side profile.

I did the same double take like you the first time too. But it’s like that on the Rs5 also.

Where did you purchase they black honeycomb Grille? I have a 2018 S5 Sportback, I’m looking to do the same thing to it?
