iPhone 12 (iOS 14) with Tune2air Issues

Hey all,
I searched the B8 S4 and A4 forums and couldn't find a solution. Ever since receiving my iPhone 12 Pro with iOS14, I've been having issues with my Tune2air. The Tune2Air has a stable connection to my phone as I can see my phone is connected via bluetooth. However, the Audi MMI drops the connection to the Tune2Air unit after about 5 seconds. Which is frustrating, because this shows the bluetooth connect CAN works since I can hear music streaming for 5 seconds, but then it just stops. I have tried the following:

1. Disconnecting and Reconnecting Bluetooth (Result: No change, still disconnects after 5 seconds)
2. Forgetting Tune2Air as device and repairing (Result: No change, still disconnects after 5 seconds)
3. Bought a new Tune2Air! (Result: No change, still disconnects after 5 seconds)

Lastly, I have tried downloading the latest firmware from Tune2Air, but the company has not gotten back to me via email with a license code that I can use to access the firmware. (What a dumb system). Any ideas here? I may just resort to buying one of the FM transmitters...

I am in the exact same boat. It's extremely frustrating and I also have not found a solution. I've never been overly impressed with Tune2Air, but I'm about ready to throw in the towel and give Apple CarPlay a try.

Same. I constantly have to now hit the power button on tune2air in glove box. Once it restarts its fine for awhile.

I believe so. I ordered something yesterday on Amazon and I’m going to give it a shot when it arrives either tomorrow or Sunday so stay tuned. From what I’m told in the ‘RSNAV Alternatives’ thread, it should be a much better option. I will report back as soon as I have something to share.

No issues with me on ios14 with my iPhone 12 pro and Tune2Air. Could be the software on your device itself, have you tried erasing the phone without loading any of your data to see if it continues to disconnect?

I noticed my 12 pro had connected but didn’t display song data from Spotify using bluetooth and the 3G MMI. Only reason I’m pointing it out is because I’m not using Tune2Air and figured you guys should be aware something seems to be affecting it. I assumed it was an issue with iOS. I just upgraded to iOS 14.2 and will see if that improves things.
