Thumbs up Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 = Thumbs Up

Ever since I purchased my SQ5, I've been wanting to ditch the 21" summer tires it came with and switch to All Season tires for the occasions when I end up in snowy terrain. Last year I had to cut a camper trip short because there was snow in Joshua Tree NP when I was about to tow an Airstream in there... quite a bummer.
I wasn't super excited about any of the options available on the market initially, but Michelin recently came out with their Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tire in a compatible 21" size.

After driving about 5k on the tires in all ranges of conditions, including chain control snow over the Sierra Nevada mountains, I can say I REALLY like these All Seasons. They are comfortable, quiet, get good gas mileage. Importantly; they do impressively well in the snow! I grew up in Michigan and spent a good chunk of life in the North East, so I was a die-hard "Snows or GTFO" guy for a few decades... but given I see snow maybe a day or two a year, I can't justify swapping wheels any more. The cornering grip isn't noticeably different from the OEM summer tires. As this is an SUV I'm not expecting it to handle like my Miata or my track car :) I can't come up with any real negatives to these tires. If you're looking to get some solid All Seasons for your SQ5, I can highly recommend the Pilot Sport A/S 4s!

PS- Reading back... I realize this post sounds like an ad :p I really just want to plug some solid tires, since I couldn't find a ton of other good suggestions for all season tires on the forum.

Awesome to hear!! I've been running the AS3+ for many years, and will be mounting the AS4 to my S4 next week.
