Not much
The heart and soul being the engine/transmission is the same
Mechanical differences are very minor updates sometimes emissions related, sometimes common issues rectified ect.
For the most part, there wasnt many changes at all, just minor tweaks. I would say always get the newest if possible, but in the realm of the differences and given pre faclift cars have been good and solid, i wouldnt worry to much at all really if budget is a factor and you can save a vast amount on pre 2019 models. If anything id saythe biggest changes were asthetics in which you would have to decide on your own if say you like the bumpers more or the interior stiching better on one vs the other.
The absolute biggest change mechanically is mostly european spec models that got severe emissions add ons such as the gasoline particulate filter. USA/Canada did not.
So basically, aside from cosmetics and maybe MMI updates( the later being minimal and practically the same), you wouldn’t be in the wrong looking at any year model
Buying a pre face lift car has the benefits of being cheaper on the market and optional ceramics (im not a fan of)
Buying a facelift car has small tweaks and cosmetic changes with more colour options on the market at a more premium price
Either or is a win really depending mostly on your taste of changes and budget
