Looking for a shop IN SEATTLE that does quality work. (Yes, Queen City does a great job)

    Thanks!

Thanks for this. Was going to go to Queen City, but don't want to drive to Redmond if I don't have to. Hopefully Haury's is just as good.

They aren't cheap but do good work. They mostly do higher end cars from what I've seen while in there.

Good stuff. I’ll at least get a quote. Can’t be that much more $$ than Queen City

I recommend cooks on lake city way.

I don’t recommend Haury’s after an incident where they disassembled a family members car completely as part of the quoting process, before being authorized to do so. I guess they thought the job was going to be “sole sourced”.

I'm sure there is lots more to this story. I've never seen a shop do work they aren't authorized to do which means thwy won't get paid for it.

My speculation is that they pretty quickly knew the car was totaled out and had a junior employee practice dismantling an interior. They told my brother they needed to know how many interior clips were going to break so they could provide an accurate quote.

My brother drove the car home without a fender and with the interior all dismantled, took the insurance check and fixed it himself.

This was some years ago now so maybe things have improved, but Haury's did substantial work on my S2000- just about the nicest thing I can say about it is that it was adequate. There were small problems in every corner of their work, like runs in the paint, new interior rattles, VIN tags painted over, etc. On top of that, I got stuck with almost $1k that they somehow failed to negotiate with insurance. It seems like they still enjoy the reputation that convinced me to do business with them, and maybe my experience is an outlier, but I would not consider doing business with them again.

Since then, I've had three minor repairs done on various cars at Metro Auto Rebuild in SoDo. Their work has mostly been outstanding, and they've been super easy to deal with on any nitpicks I've had, and just easy to deal with in general.

Given my last experience with Haury's I can only recommend them. In fact, I'm going back next week thanks to an "off track excursion" that requires a new front bumper. I'll update after the repair is done and give my impressions on a larger repair.
