    Ballast replacement?

Alight guys I’m a little confused. My passenger side headlight went out. Replaced the bulb, didn’t light up. I figured out that it was the Ballast. So I ordered a Ballast off Amazon. Apparently there’s two different Ballasts? Anyhow I left my Ballast unplugged but the daytime running light went off as well? I plugged the Ballast back in and the LED’s came back on. Is there two different ballasts?

No idea what year or car you have, but assume it is xenon lights. (It's always good to start with year and model or have it in your signature.)
For C7 A6/S6. There is a traditional xenon bulb ballast 8K0941597E and a daytime running light power module 4G0907697D. If you have directional lights there is also the cornering light power module 4H0941329.
It is conceivable that the whole headlight may work as a system and require everything to be plugged in even for certain parts of the system such as DRL's to function.
    What p/n did you replace?

I’m in the C7 section talking about a Ballast so thought people would just figure out that I had a C7 with Xenons. I would put in my sig but I have a few different cars.

I think you’re correct though, I didn’t realize there was a daytime running light module. I think the Ballast is actually under the headlight

I believe there are multiple different part numbers, depending on whether you are pre or post-facelift, and then whether you have xenon vs LED headlights. May be worth pulling your ballast(s) to verify part numbers.

Yeah I couldn’t find the Ballast at first, but I came across a Russian video that showed that the Ballast was under the physical headlight. I thought the Ballast was on the side.

Did you have any luck? I basically have the same issue with my 2013 A6-C7. Not only my Xenon right bulb went out but both DRL's and right front turn signal stopped working as well. I would love to hear how yours turned out. Thanks
