What are the best brake pads for carbon ceramic braking systems?

I'm sure some of you have dealt with noisy ceramic brakes. I was told, "this is caused by a build up of dust inside of our rotors. The friction of the pad against the rotor causes the rotor to heat up and vibrate." I'm not 100% sure I believe it but I don't care I'm just tired of sounding like a freight train whenever I hit the brakes.

Fortunately, I bought Audi's protection plus plan (I think that's what it's called), which covers my brake pads but I'm wondering, is there a better brake pad over the factory Brembo pads?

I tried to go EBC and found out they do not make a pad for the carbon ceramic rotors. Anyone have any ideas or experience with any other pads? 20190305_190025.jpg20180525_165445.jpg

That's going to be tough. There's not much interest in aftermarket development for a pad for Audi CC. They wouldn't sell enough of them, demand is not there since they are so rare.

Have you tried the finding the Brembo pad, it's OE. I didn't know about Bosch?

Try Race Technologies or Killer Brakes. I think Alex at Euro price might be able to assist also. Good luck.

I want to think I've seen only one aftermarket option for performance-oriented CC pads and they're even more pricey than the OEM Brembos. I'm assembling a set for my S6 at the moment and will keep researching, but I'd imagine the Brembos are the most quiet available. The front caliper has two dampers bolted to the inboard side that are supposed to absorb harmonics that contribute to noise.

I'm sorry, I was half sleep whenever I sent this and put Bosch instead of Brembo. My apologies

Both Pagid and Brembo produce the CCB pads for Audi.

I know of no other non OEM option, however some companies claim that the standard iron rotor pads can be used, however I don't trust this. No point taking a gamble on such a pricey system.

Lastly, my CCB's make no noise whatsoever, except after a wash until I've braked once. Only time I've been in Audis equiped with CCB's and noisy are ones driven extremely hard or have had track time on them.

Yeah, I definitely have taken mine to the strip at least 10 times since I've had it. That would approx 30 passes since 2016. Never changed the pads since then either. They are definitely long overdue.

Dragstrip doesn't qualify as "track time" as far as brakes are concerned.
Stopping once from even 130mph and having time between runs to cool is in no way as punishing on the brakes as running a circuit which I believe p3u was referring to.

I understand and agree.... Ultimately, I just want the harmonic freight train sound to stop

I recall a conversation i had with a few local guys (S6/RS6) regarding our ceramics...only one guy has 'train squelling' brakes. Luckly he was under waranty and it was fixed with new discs. Not sure if that is the only and best option compaired to trying new pads...
For what it is worth, i bought new OEM (or is it OE) pads from dealer through with discount price (800-900€ for full set + sensors). Accidently i had ask independant shop to order a brembo set as i couldn't believe it were 'original and ceramics'....if not mistaken it was 600€ for same set. Definatly ceramics aswell, just didn't had audi logo. Full dealer price is 1200-1300€ if not mistaken (been awhile so my bad i can't quote the correct prices, but gives you an idea and experience).

I've had 2 sets of CCBs on the C7 and neither squealed except from the initial sound after spraying them down with a pressure washer.
