    Winter mat options

Since these are hitting our shores, and winter is around the corner in my neck of the woods. What are people doing for winter mats? cargo mat?
I have Weathertech in my current RS7, and have not been disappointed, although it looks like the current rubber mats (rubber all weather) are not available. (I don't care for the floor liner look)

The Audi parts for front and rear look appealing, but the Audi cargo mat still says "A7" for all 3 models...weird.

Assuming A7, S7, and RS7 are similar inside, what options are there?

Agree with on the Weathertech. They belong in an F150 but not an RS6/7. I had the S6 winter mats in my previous car but don't see the same option for my RS6.

I bit the bullet and orders the A6 labeled mats. Better than nothing.

This is the case for all Audis. They have specific A/S/RS mats for the driver but the trunk/cargo area mat only comes the one way.

I always get the Audi rubber floor mats and trunk liner thrown in with the car (I'm sure I pay for them somewhere along the line).

I understand you preferring something other than the WeatherTech floor liners but they are the gold standard. I can't tell you how disappointed I was with even the WT rubber mats vs. the floor liners. The Liners just outperform by a wide margin.

Maybe an option to customize the WT Floor Liner would be to remove the WT sticker on the Liner (it eventually comes off anyway) with an RS7, Quattro, or Audi rings decal/sticker/badge. You can source them from numerous locations, including Ebay, and I believe there is a thread on AZ where someone "seals" the rings sticker with a clear film.

I've had bad experiences with the Weathertech mats, a) the ones for the back are too thin and start to curl up. b) the front ones also are on the thin side on the sides and start to buckle away from the transmission hump and the door side sill. they need to make them a little thicker in my opinion as an engineer. Not sure why they make the back ones from a thinner sheet of plastic.... Just cost cutting and they are overpriced for what they are a heat formed plastic sheet.

Sorry to be Debbie downer, but I had this in 2 completely different cars (and different makes).

We have 3D Maxpider U-Ace brand mats in our S5 and like them over the Audi S5 rubber mats, and they are the floor liner type like Weathertech has.

I did this too, because I cannot stand carpeted mats, especially in fall/winter. Sure I would love for it to say RS6, or even S6 for that matter, but not to the point where I would not get them, or go aftermarket.

After looking at all the options, I went ahead and placed an order for these winter mats in black. I appreciate the feedback. I have had MaxSpyder in my RS5, Weathertech, and stock from Audi in the past, so I thought I would try something different.
I figured there were enough RS7 logos in car already, and they seem to have good reviews. Once I get the car and install, will see how they install/perform.

Not that it helps, but I wanted to add some clarification:
4K1-061-221-041 This one is branded A6, but they obviously fit all the A6/S6/RS6 models
4K1-061-221-A-041 This one is branded S6

If my history with the nomenclature is accurate, I think there will be a B or C number showing up some time soon, with the RS branding on it.

The rear mats are the same for all A6/A7 models, since they aren't branded, although there are two versions (511 & 511A), so maybe not?

Unfortunately, the same goes for the trunk mats & trays. All "A6" branded (so far)...

Audi doesn't have pics of the S6 version, but this is what they would look like:

subscribed to watch and see what people find / like. I've used weathertech in the past and been happy, but always open to new ideas and, this time, I might splurge for some RS6 mats if they're functional.

Anyone have any updates on OEM All-Weather RS6 floor mat options? I'm skeptical that Audi will produce them given that the RS6 has been in production in Europe for two winters now (counting this upcoming season) and there are no mats available in Germany either.

Front and rear floor mats are rubber but the trunk is a plastic shell.

I already have the front and rear rubber Audi mats with the RS on it. However the trunk mat is A7.

I am using these on my RS7. This was for an A6 but they were cheap, came in 3 days from Istanbul to USA. I honestly cant complain much as they serve the purpose for winter. Cost was a whopping $71.00 for front and rear mats.

One retainer on the passenger side didn't line up but they don't move.

I think these look sharp but they don't appear to have a fitment for the RS6 yet. They do appear to have better coverage to the door sill than OEM (where I usually get a salt residue in the past)

Audi has Part Number for RS6/7 winter mats but yet to have an ETA

I grabbed a set of A6s while waiting for the RS mats to come in, better than nothing in the Canadian winter 😅

Anyone have experience with the ‘diamond leather’ mats? If so, how did they hold up? Is using those in a wet environment like the PNW a bad idea?

Tuxmat installed. I was skeptical but I'm really happy with them so far. Fit is great, covering basically the entire footwell. Only minor issue was passenger's side covers up the little mesh net and bulges slightly.

I like the material better than plain rubber both to look at and to step on. So appears very durable and is easily washable.

What is the material? Is it not rubber? How's the rear fit over the hump - nice and snug? Very interested in these...

Tuxmat says it's PVC outer with an EVA foam-like core that gives it a nice "plushness". It's pretty grippy though and the driver foot pad is rubber so it won't get worn through.

The rear fitment is fantastic. They include a bunch of clips that fit snugly up into the hard plastic trims on the car, but I barely needed them. Only really used them where it bulged up due to being shipped folded.

Here's a closer shot of the rear:
