Exclamation 2009 Audi A4 2.0TSFI Turbocharged Multiple Misfires with Video

Hello my fellow human beings! I owe a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T Turbocharged with a 2.0t TFSI engine and for the past months I’ve been experiencing misfires on cylinder 3 and cylinder 4. I have done some common fixes like changing the spark plugs, coil pack, PCV valve, and fuel injectors but I’m still having the same problem. I have a bit of symptoms when the car is on such as a little bit of rough idle, rough exhaust, hissing sounds where the cold intake is at, and when I’m on driving gear going 5mph with out pressing the gas and brake, the rpm needle wobbles and my car shakes. Any advice I can get from you. This problem is stressful to me I just want to get over this problem. Thanks for your help!

I assume you've pulled codes? What were they? Has any preventative maintenance been done prior (chain tensioner specifically)?

I am currently dealing with similar symptoms.

You didn't mention how many miles are on the vehicle. When these symptoms occur it could be excess carbon buildup on the valves or an issue with the timing chain/tensioner. If you're pulling codes with VCDS, check the phase adaptation on the chain to see how many degrees you're at.

In my opinion, I wouldn't drive the vehicle until it's figured out and corrected. Detonation might not be far away.

Does your car smell like gas? Like it's running rich? Check your PCV hose connected to your intake manifold. May have a loose connection. My car sounded exactly like that and turns out my buddy forgot to plug the intake manifold when installing my catch can. Weird thing is it didn't happen for 2 weeks after I got it installed.

Yes it smells like strong gas. I thought it has to do something with the turbo of not getting enough air in the system.

It has 188k miles. I opened the intake manifold and looks clean from the inside. I don't think its that. And I don't have VCDS available at this moment.

Disregard my comment. Didn’t know it was rebuilt 30k miles ago.

It's cool. I'm so close of selling my B8 if I don't find a solution for this.
