    Question about OEM motor mounts...A4=S4?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Can anybody tell me if the actual motor mounts for the S4 are the same as an A4? Maybe the brackets are different (?) but the actual mount the same?

Made me feel sick when I saw the price for the S4 mounts, but a couple of places I look make me think that maybe the A4 mount part number would actually be the same part and WAY cheaper???

The forum sponsor (Europaparts) lists the same Lemforder mount part number for the A4 and S4: https://www.europaparts.com/audi/s/s...ne/mounts.html

    MOTOR MOUNT (A4 A5 S4 S5 Q5 SQ5 MACAN, LEFT)
    OEM: 8R0199381C
    MPN: 3474001

    MOTOR MOUNT (A4 A5 S4 S5 Q5 SQ5 MACAN, RIGHT)
    OEM: 8R0199381AK
    MPN: 3474301

I'm guessing since the 034 solid mount only has one number for both A4 and S4 that the physical dimensions of both must be same.

I would jump on them now, but Europaparts seem to be the only parts sites who list the 8R0199381C and 8R0199381AK as fitting the S4 and I wanted to check here first with people who might have experience with this.

Thanks to the forum for the help--lots of people who really have a lot of knowledge to help newbs like me. Thank you.

iirc, it’ll fit, but the s4 motor mounts are stiffer. street density a4 (034) is 45 durometer vs s4s stock 45 durometer. they all FIT and ARE INTERCHANGEABLE but the 2.0 engines will be a grade down from the s4’s rating. significant nvh increase in 2.0 vs 3.2 a4s. so motor mounts ONLY from A4s with the 3.2 engines.

    “Fitment:

    2009 - 2016 Audi A4 (B8)
3.2L FSI (Will fit 2.0 TFSI as well, but with noticeable NVH increase over stock.)
    2010 - 2016 Audi S4 (B8)
    3.0 TFSI”

Used new oem a4 mounts when I swapped my s4 3.0t motor into my 2011 a4 avant. Mounts to a different part of the frame then with the 2.0t but definitly works. no issue with excessive vibration or any other concern.

The S4 motor mounts are electronic, If you drive slowly after a stop at about 9 mph you will hear a clicking sound. The motor mounts change
Their firmness setting at about 9 mph.
