Which A4 B8 Quattro (Facelift) transmission is superior when it comes to sheer acceleration?

You’re driving the wrong car all together for sheer acceleration

    Lollll this /\

Also if you wanted to get technical for "sheer acceleration" the answer is neither of these. It's the multitronic.

Well I don't think a CVT would perform all that well if we factor in the belt slipping under excessive torque.
Anyway, my question was essentially which one of the above has the shortest/most aggressive gearing (Factoring in the torque converter's slipping for the Tiptronic)

Oh, well, the stronic is a 7 speed vs the tipronic's 8. Your gain is minimal when considering the stronic is the dual clutch and has faster shifts. Plus you get launch control with it.

Yeah, shift speed and launch control are indeed very important for a good 0-100 km/h run and S-tronic has possession of both of them. No denying that. However, what about the gearing? Which one has the shortest gears?

The multitronic has infinite gears. It gets a bad wrap because people forgot to change the fluid in the 90s. But it has less frictional losses internally, and since it's only sending power to the two wheels there is additional friction shavings. In a manual transmission you have to manually move the gearshift which can take up to several seconds if you're on the gram. With a dual clutch setup it's like cheating because it shifts faster than humanly possible. When you are street racing starting from a redlight, for shear excelleration you will greatly improve you chances of changing the future if you drop it reverse and avoid the rolls royce fate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mme5...ianPati%C3%B1o

Again before you dump a bunch of money into a big heavy a4 this is not a good platform in terms of making power, or going fast

There’s way better “tuner friendly” Audi’s that will make way more power and go way faster with just simple bolt ons vs a b8 would need stage 3 power levels to compete

    This
I will forever prefer gears, but for acceleration, it doesn't matter how quick a shift is vs not having to shift at all

OK granted. Nevertheless, does anybody have any info about the topic (i.e. gear ratios)?

Honestly, just Google it. There's tons of info out there about this already

Well, if I've found any then I wouldn't be asking, would I?

No need to be a Karen. It's not our fault you aren't capable of doing something for yourself.

Since everything needs to be spoonfed to you, here's what it will look like if you try to do something for yourself. Oh and this is with a typo and I still got results.

Wow, no need for all this hostility. I did not compel you to search for anything on my behalf. I was just genuinely asking for assistance. No need to be so impolite
