If you're talking about the rear badge, the 2019s and above have it, while the 2018s had the 2.0T

Quite an interesting design choice for Audi. With the exception of the exhaust tips and badging this car looks identical to my S5.

They've made the A5, S5, and RS5 fraternal twins.

I’m thinking the same. I bought the Rs5 more or less for the looks with the bumper, diffusers etc. I know it’s faster but yeah, Audi is making the entire line up blend in. Makes me want to trade it in next year for sure. Lol. I’m guessing a lot of owners will be debadging.

That's true with turbo being the exception. I guess rs5 still has the flared rear fenders and wider tract I guess. Now the arguments the S5 guys always make will be much more on point with the engine being the major deciding point more or less for most people. Maybe if they stuffed the RS6 TT V8 in the future RS5, we'd have a clear winner. lol.

I've got to agree, as well. Audi keeps blurring the lines between the A5/S5/RS5, in terms of exterior looks and interior features. This new lineup is almost comically similar.

On the plus side, no matter which model you go with, they all look great. However, despite the big powertrain differences and wider fender arches on the RS5, I can't imagine this is going to bode well for future S5/RS5 sales. But maybe that's all part of Audi's master plan?

Something else that bothers me about this A5 is that the Black Optics package was pulled off better than it is on the S5. The above A5 has black emblems front and rear and a black spoiler.

My S5 with Black Optics package came with chrome emblems, chrome tail pipes, and a body colored spoiler. I actually had to spend extra money (after the sale) and labor to make my S5's looks match the A5's! I don't think that's how this whole thing is supposed to go, lmao.

And by God, I swear that damn A5 looks like it has less wheel well gap than my car.

Damn you, Audi!

Well, on a positive note, this does make it easier for S5/RS5 owners to fly under the radar with the "sleeper" look, if that's what you're into.

Regardless, I really do love the overall appearance of the refreshed lineup, from the A5 to the RS5. In my biased opinion, whether you get an A5, S5 or RS5, they all put the BMW/Mercedes equivalents to shame, in the appearance department.
