Every US B8.5 with MMI has MMI navigation plus (hard drive, 3D navigation). Did Canada sell MMI navigation (no hard drive, nav data on SD card, only 2D navigation, smaller low res screen) as an option? Because the brochure says Progressiv and Technik have MMI touch; I doubt that fancy knob comes on standard MMI navigation (which remember is an Audi term and Audi Canada could be making up their own names in their marketing junk).

my 14 Technik 8.5 has MMI+ but certainly no touch

By MMI Touch, it means the large MMI dial that you can draw on, such as address entry, not a touch screen.

edit - never mind, that dial was part of MMI 4G (B9), but it's clearly a B8.5 2016 A4 brochure. So no idea what Audi Canada was trying to say with "Navigation w/ MMI® touch". I don't know, I can't find an Audi Canada 2016 order guide. Did Audi Canada ever sell a less than full MMI High implementation in the B8 A4 any year?

Thanks. I need to check again as I was going through the menus to find some option to enable it as I can make BT calls, but audio never plays. It is just quiet. That is the phone thinks it is connected to a BT device, so phone is silent, but MMI is silent too, so I need to disable BT on the phone to get phone audio again.

OK, so I did check and the Bluetooth Audio Player option is ON. But I have no audio from my phone.
When I play a YouTube video, no sound comes out from the phone nor the car.
Samsung S9 with Android 11.
Does anyone know what's the problem?

My son fixed mine
The issue was the phone. He needed to enable both phone and music interface.
It's an android phone if that mattered.
I'd try unpairing the phone and try again..

Yeah, in the phones you can often define what services are transferred to the Bluetooth connection.
For example, you could be connected to one Bluetooth device for handsfree and a different Bluetooth device for stereo audio.
But it seems Android 11 has a host of problems with Bluetooth audio also, based on the first page of results of a google search for "samsung android 11 bluetooth audio to car".
Is this something that stopped working? Or you never tried before and now trying, it's not working? But I agree with iceman, it's going to be something on the phone side.
