Ok ok ok I know 93 s4s are or should be the turbo 5 cyl but I found a listing for one and there is zero pic under the hood and it’s listed with audis 4.2l v8. Now I am trying to contact the buyer but the site requires I have my account but a certain age so that’s stupid. But I’d just like to know if there was a legitimate 93 s4 with a v8 or if it’s just dated wrong or what. And second question is just if the older 90s v8s like this one have any big problems. It’s a high mileage car at like over 150k. Ik some of the early 2000s models have a cam chain issue and I don’t know if that’s prevalent on the 93? This is my first post hopefully I can get some clarification

The C4 S4 Plus came with a 4.2 V8 32 valve, but I'm not sure if they were ever brought to the states; the engine is timing belt driven, so there's no timing chain issue. I don't know much about common failures in the 32V, but the belt driven 40V is basically bulletproof, so I wouldn't expect the 32V to have significant issues.

It could also be an engine swap, in which case you'd have to ask what engine is in there.
