Good link/find with the Harper Auto Parts. Best price I had previously found was Byers Porsche, but they wanted $75 for shipping. Really killed the discount.

Harper was only around $30 to ship, had a better price, AND they have a shipping discount available right now - "SAVE15".

Just ordered mine with the air scoops.

If you search for about a week and get to the checkout screen where it takes your email address, you’ll eventually get a free shipping from one of the sites.

Are those the only parts needed for the caliper?

In the post below the one you quoted, Nano909 literally linked to a thread with a parts list and explanation of what you need and what other things you could added on (dust shields, air scoops, etc).

Quality info. We should have a thread for links to the best deals on parts for our car.

I've got a pair of front Macan calipers that have only 5k on them. They will come off my B8.5 this week, as I am upgrading to RS 8 pot calipers. If you are interested I can sell them to you next week. They are the standard matte black they come in. They weren't painted. In excellent condition.

I've got the HPTuners "TrackAddict" app for measuring acceleration/drag times... but does anyone know of a quality app for measuring braking times? 60-0 or maybe 100-0?

I want to do a before and after test.

Maybe I could set it up with VCDS... I've also got an HPTuners cable, but haven't tried using VCM Scanner on my S5.

I've been running Hawk Performance Pads for the last decade. Great pads, American company, and they publish charts showing the temp ranges of their pads (attached below).

I went with their HPS 5.0 for the S5. Trackable Street pad (low dust and noise, but a strong bite). I also had the HPS 5.0's on the Jetta TDI that I traded for my S5 and that car would out-brake the shit out of my S5's stock setup and was a world of difference from its own stock setup.

I run their HP+ pads on my Cobalt (was 450whp @ 2900 lbs) and '86 GTI (175whp @ 2100 lbs). Also ran them on the '03 GTI that I had before that. Streetable Track pad (noisy and dusty, but they bite really hard and consistently - not as noisy if you have slotted rotors, but they'll give a low-mph squeal on blank rotors).

I've found Tire Rack to have one of the best prices around; they've had them "on sale" for a couple months now - I just set the vehicle as a 2013 Q5 3.0T.

Dragy. It already has 60-0 and you could setup your own custom 100-0

Im curious to hear feeback!! Does the macan/Q5 calipers really make brakes feels stronger? More initial bites?

I wouldn't necessarily say that they "feel" stronger - and your bite is really going to be determined by your pad. What they really do is weigh less than half that of the stock calipers, brake more consistently, and dissipate heat much better.

I just changed my calipers, rotors, and pads.

Both of the stock front rotors were worn more heavily on the inside face than the outside face, meaning the stock calipers are applying more force to the inside pad than the outside. Generally a not-good scenario.

I have a set of macan calipers they are used Powdercoated in red. If you like them feel free to make a reasonable offer, I went with my custom B9 Rs5 setup.

I will include the pretty much new pads.
Best wishes, sorry for threadjack just figured this may help someone, and honestly move it from my house. Lol
