    Which MY TT-S?

I had a black 2009 TTS a while back and loved it. APR stage 2 was fun. For various reasons I had to let the car go.

Now that they're mostly under $30K, I would love to get back in a mk2 TTS. (If I can physically get in one now lol)

I tried googling for major mechanical differences from MY 2009 through to MY 2015, but didn't find much. Are there any major differences other than creature comforts and a slight face change?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Pictures of my old TTs.

Facelift for 2011, then I think there’s a black edition and a competition edition for 2014-15 models.

Thanks for the reply. So it does seem like the only differences are aesthetic. I recall on my 2009, I changed the cam follower every oil change (cheap - $2-$3 I remember) and the magnetic ride suspension was always on watch.

I was just wondering if the later model years had any updates to those two items and if anything else mechanical like the dsg. Googling did show some aftermarket options for converting the cam follower system to a roller system like the TSI engines. That looks great! - probably on my to do list if I end up getting into another TT-s.

I'd like to get a 2014/2015, but the 2011/2012 models are a bit cheaper. All of them are pretty low mileage.

Not that I know of. They’re all the same mechanically.

Went to checkout a 2011 in NJ. The sales guy said it was stage 3. Pretty sure it wasn't, but it did have the APR downpipe and IE intake.

At 36000 miles, it was tempting but the close up inspection pushed me away. It was in okay shape.

I'm going to keep looking for one that is in good shape. The search continues.

I'm kicking myself for not getting ahold of you while you had this one listed.

This one was a great find. Lots of other TTS cars came up, but not at this mileage, condition, and price.

Has some minor things to correct, but completely livable with until next year. Plus, with the low purchase price, I have some cash to spare to work on the car.

I waited over a month to work with the owner and pick the car up. Great owner too.

does the sport button make the 2011 tts any more delightful over a 2009 tts? if you are planning on stage 1 or 2 tuning?

I have just started my research looking into picking up a TTS mk2, prices are pretty high right now compared to 2019/20 prices and there are not that many on the market. I have time to wait though

but totally curious what would be the preferred year, face lift is nice

also I have a set of 18x8.5 et35 SSR Comps, from my digging it sound like they will fit without rubbing with 235s, haven't seen any info on 245s yet
