    Real S-Line A7 or not?

A friend is looking at buying an A7 and sent me this link: https://www.kijijiautos.ca/cars/audi...e#vip=15623865

I come from the A4 world and can easily spot and S-Line packaged A4 but this doesn't look right to me. The steering wheel does not have a badge and the headliner is grey - these are generally a dead giveaway in the A4 world, but maybe not the case on an A7? How else can you tell?

That car is definitely an S line spec car... but not comp package.

For that year, all A7s were S line in NA.

Easiest way to tell S-Line for A6/A7 is by looking at the front/rear bumpers. They have the exact same flared bumpers that the S6/S7 have.

The steering wheel usually doesn't have the S-line badge on it, my A6 is S-Line and it was just plain black on the bottom.

Yeah, not comp and definitely not loaded as it's missing all of the big ticket items.

Thanks for the feedback. What does the comp package add? What big ticket items would be worth looking out for while searching for an A7?

Comp package bridges the gap between an A7 and S7, minus the engine, brakes, and suspension. Basically S7 interior trim, seats, steering wheel, sport diff, painted calipers, and 7hp.

    Your big ticket items are:
Prestige package- HUD, 4 zone climate control, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, soft close doors
Driver assistance package- Adaptive cruise, Active lane assist, presense plus, corner view cameras
Comfort seating package - Comfy seats
    B&O stereo
    Night vision

There are other options but they are much more common, like s-line, black optic, cold weather, 20" wheel.

The car linked seems to be a base premium plus with s-line and cold weather package.

That's a premium or premium plus model, with what looks like the sport package. It doesn't have S line seats, climate controls and no premium options besides the sport package.

You want the vented S line seats, trust me. Adaptive cruise control, head up display and Bang & Olufsen sound system if you can find one.

If you put the vin number in myAudi app it will give you every package that came with the car.

We did not get S line seats in NA spec C7s, the seats you refer to as S line are the contour seat w/ ventilation, which is part of the Prestige Pkg.

I still stand by my comment that the car is S line (exterior treatment) IIRC in 2016 all C7s got the S line exterior treatment.

As already stated that's an S-Line but that's just about it, it's a progressiv - meaning it's a base model with zero packages. I've actually checked out this particular vehicle in-person and was quite disappointed compared to mine. Things to look out for are listed in detail already in earlier posts.

For that price, your friend can clinch a '16/'17 prestige fully loaded with less than 50k km like I did few months ago. Just has to search nationwide.
