I have a b7 a4 2.0t and i've gotten the oil consumption to a more reasonable qt every 1200-1500 miles. Question is I wanna sell it and Get at least a 2014 a6 3.0t but i just dont want the oil issue. Or any worse issues than my b7 a4 2.0t for that matter. Can any owners of 3.0t a6 give me any pointers? any common issues? would you recommend I buy one? And i would prefer to buy one cash if that makes a difference..

The 3.0t can burn oil with the Pcv failure. Had it fail in my b8 s4 and now twice in my a6. A6 also had the water pump fail at the last pcv failure. I wouldn’t own any Audi outside of a warranty unless you wrench a lot and have another car. That being said it’s my 4th Audi and I’ll buy another one most likely.

Have a scroll through. PCV is covered under an extended warranty from Audi for VIN-specific MY2013-2016 3.0t cars- https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...60829-0001.pdf There are more than a few threads asking the same questions you're asking around, may be worth doing some searching.

My 2012 A7 3.0 has been pretty solid up to now. I just replaced the timing chains at 205,000 miles. There is a guy on Audiworkd that is over 345,000 miles on his. The are pretty solid motors.
