I was quoted somewhere around $1200 by Magna Society Elite Audi dealership, found that erroneously high, anyone?

Curious to know, how much is a Wheel alignment for a New Q7?

At my local dealership, $140-150 for a wheel alignment

Edit: not sure if anything is different for a “new Q7,” but $140-150 for both my ‘15 S7 and ‘14 Q7. Rear-wheel steer maybe has a higher cost? But I can’t imagine it is close to $1,200...

It depends on what options you have on your car. I have night vision, ACC and lane assist on all my cars and different Audi dealers have always quoted the same around $1100 to $1200.

Ah, that makes sense, how is your Q7 putting up compared with an SQ5?

I think it's the best SUV with the power and handling and features it has. Don't know about SQ5, but I had a Q5 for 9 years and test drove other 7 seaters multiples times before getting the Q7.20191003_105132.jpeg

That's good to know, when it comes to comparing the Q5 and Q7, I seem to come across many folks saying that the Q7 has more under steer than the Q5. How did you get sports seats on your Q7?

I'm just poking around in this forum as I'm thinking about moving on to a Q7 but the alignment on my SQ5 (air suspension) was $125. Regardless of packages on the Q7, anything over 200 seems absurd to me.

^ I agree, $1200 for an alignment is absolutely ridiculous.

Lol, I was thinking about a Q7 in the next of years as well, but the cost of an alignment is making me have reservations about a Q7 (its just absurd). I'm not fond of any the technology gimmicks on the newer models; I don't tend to become dependent on these things, but sometimes it may be beneficial especially on longer drives. Is the automation the way for the future? Perhaps, but I want the freedom choice and ability to make my own decisions

There are Q7 trims that will still maintain that $125 alignment cost, just make sure you don't go with active road assistance, adaptive cruise control, lane departure, automated parking, etc. options

I would a barebone trim level would suffice, most of the Q7's I come across unfortunately have the Bose 3D system, for audio, I would rather prefer B&O or just the Audi branded Multimedia system

Also, coming back to Q5 vs Q7 in my honest opinion, the Q5 maintains better steering handling than the Q7, but as a family car, the Q7 is better suited in terms of comfort. The Q5 (depending on what trim you choose) really is more of sports / semi-luxury vehicle for the enthusiast, I'm thinking of going Stage 1

I agree too that $1200 is ridiculous, but they are not willing to do just the wheel alignment, they are adding the calibration for cameras also. Is it required everytime? not sure.

then get a civic. the more advanced the car the higher the upkeep. my sq7 is advanced and you cant just have bubba turn a wrench to align the wheels you have lane keep, cameras to align and so on which costs money to train the mechanics

I wonder how much it would through an Indy / Motorsport shop. They can probably get a way from realigning the cameras
