    Burnt reflector bowl alternate fix

    Hi,

I have the Xenon D2S headlights and had to fix this issue with the burnt reflector bowls. I decided to try a quick DIY fix and went and got a $25 3M aluminum foil tape with a very high temperature rating and covered the bowl area:

Worked nicely, happy with the end results and the beam output. Cheap DIY way.

    Hmm..

In germany there is a company that does recoating for a fairly small amount of money. You may want to browse for a similar service in your country.

Yes you are right:) and I found some places abroad, but unfortunately there is no service like that where I live. I basically had to fix this quickly to complete the car inspection on time.

Necessity is the mother of human inspiration, or something like that. 🙂
