    Cool 245 45 19 Allroad

    Hi all
I picked up my 2015 A4 Allroad Sport last week and have started some de chroming and now about to fit some taller winter/all season rubber as I want a little more sidewall on my stock 19” sport wheels
I use the vehicle at times on rough roads in ireland also on sand to access some difficult to reach surf breaks

Has anyone fitted 245 45 19 tyres to these wheels?

    The stock is 245 40 19 26.7” diameter 9.6” width
    The 245 45 19 would be 27.7” diameter 9.6 width apparently

I’ll try post a pic of how it sits now

One series taller should not make any issue up down; the question will be the clearance along the sides of the wheel well. Looks like there wouldn't be much.
You could check out the allroad wheel thread too: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...tion-amp-Ideas
    And the tire thread: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ire-Thread-***

I know the +1 on the allroad for winter has come up before, ah, here:

COAr was looking at a slightly larger diameter; it was tight but fit. Hope the tires don't flex too much. You might post on that thread to see how they worked out over time for him.

Below is 215/65/17. Taller but narrower than what you're looking at. I would guess you could fit 245/45/19

245/45/19 in theory at least would be exactly the same diameter as 275/40/19 which KFizz has fitted.

Here's his post from the Avants Only > Official B8.5 allroad Wheel Thread

Compared to his wheels specs (19x9.5 ET33) the 245/45 on those factory rims should have 8mm less poke and a healthy 22mm more clearance than those to the inside wheelwells.

    Should fit fine IMHO

It was a little tricky getting the wheels on. Unknown to me, the rear hub assembly shifts forward on the vehicle when the suspension is decompressed. So the tire was contacting the front of the wheel well when I put the wheel on. It's fine once the car is on the ground. So anyway, they fit.

Vehicle ride is much better (coming from 255/35/19 PSS). It just feels nicer to drive now. I expected it to tramline more, but it's actually better so far. Vehicle has a bit more height now, which I'm fine with.

Sorry for the garage photos, I just grabbed something quick.
