Powerstop and Rockauto failure

So I ordered the Z23 brake kit from rockauto. The center cutouts on the rotors are too small and will not even fit on the hubs. All 4 rotors.

And now I find out rockauto has no phone support. I can do a return, but they want me to pay for shipping. And powerstop has no weekend support.

Putting the car back together. epic failure.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Rockauto has a vast inventory, but has always been hit or miss regarding parts compatibility. They often mis-code part numbers. They ship what they claim fits, but sometimes it does not. I'm not surprised. I had to send stuff back (but not brake parts) and eat shipping.

This is so sad.. I remember a while back having nothing but great experiences with Rockauto.

I've installed several of those kits, on a variety of platforms, with great success. I would verify what you ordered is indeed designed for your platform. Gotta really look at rotor diameters, hub bores, wheel backspacing, etc...

They fill orders quickly, have good prices. They just don't seem to have their on-line parts catalog set up well-enough to recognize variations in models and equipment options.

Rock Auto works better for Toyota's where the same part is used on all cars for 15 years.
VAG can changes parts a few times a year on the same model. Rock Auto really struggles with that.

^ Total pain in the ass! Friggen these OEM brakes are a hassle not even including trying to return these pads for the correct ones. Hope your next effort goes smoothly
