    Thanks
I think they are actually separately owned now. Dion owns the shop in Mountainside and is awesome. I just had them replace the sunroof track on my SQ5 to fix the infamous rattle. He handled the claim with my insurance to get it covered under MBI and delivered the car back raffle-free and in the promised timeframe.

if you are looking for feedback.. I went to get my test pipes, DSG service on my b8.5 s4 . They were awesome to deal with. I drove 3 hours to get there and feel it was very well worth it.
The price was very reasonable compared to other shops, service and communication was on par. Im def a big fan.. Dion and Dan were the two I primarily dealt with..

Yes, I have gotten very positive feedback from AZ members and customers and I have met with Dion. He's seems like a good guy to work with.
I have a project that I need help with and never realized this shop was in Mountainside which is close(r) to me. I thought that they were only in North Jersey.

Lots of high end vehicles there.

I use to go to the one in Clifton and always good service . Went back in January for a correction in my APR stage 2+ tune since I added some stuff to the car . After they flashed my car it kept going on limp mode , I went numerous times but they kept giving me a lame answer that my car had something bad like a coil pack or something else which in response I told them that non of that makes sense.
Went to another shop out of state and they re-tuned it correctly, car runs perfect again.
I did notice some other personal working there not the usual ones I dealt with before.

I remember when they opened up that shop and had a BBQ day to welcome the new facility. Met the staff and they treated everybody who showed up with great hospitality. That alone is something I would expect to reflect in customer service, for example. They had a full pig roast (forgot the weight, but it was up there), and food that catered to just about everyone (ie only meats I eat are fish and birds). And till this day, best corn bread I ever had (soft, not dry, sweet, and had real corn in it).

Video I took from that day

They had an IS300 VR6 swapped car with a drag chute, so I would say it is safe to say they know what they are doing. Can't recall his user name (something like dsgray), but I am pretty sure he had that shop convert an S6 avant into an RS6 avant and sold it (iirc). Came out pretty good (build thread is on here somewhere), but it is all opinion based. So they do more than just engine work, if it is the same shop.

Ok, I was totally wrong about both the car situation and shop used to get the job finished. Cool thread none the less! But still, I've been to that shop and it is pretty clean. As for work they have done, I don't have any experience or know anyone who had intense work done performed there. But they do have an IS300 VR6 with a drag chute, so that still exists .

I've had DAW work on my old B8.5 A4, old B8.5 S4 and current B5 S4. Dion and the guys in Mountainside have been nothing but great and upfront about everything. For reference, the B8.5 A4 I had full suspension and full stage 3 w/ K04 turbo kit, the B8.5 S4 also had full suspension and complete APR Stage 2 kit, and the B5 just had: Entire suspension overhauled, the motor and transmission pulled, K04 turbos and and ringer racing clutch installed, along with a full timing service, Aux water pump, spark plugs, injectors, new fuel pump, coil packs, etc.

I recommend drive auto works. Dion runs his shop well and has accommodated me well even when I couldn't make it to shop times for my S6 (had downpipes and stage 2 apr tune). I dropped it off at night and left the key in a secure drop box, picked it up the next night in which he hid the key for me with receipt and instructions in the car. I paid for the job via phone. He even checked my vin before buying the setup to make sure I didn't have to pay full price again if it was tuned before (apr charges a fee for ownership transfer).

He has also replaced my b5 s4 transmission in the past and some other work. No problems after for both cars.

I usually wrench on my own cars, but if I can't find the time to then I would prefer to bring them there.

The Clifton location is no longer there. It's just the mountainside location now.

Edit: didn't realize this thread was old now but hopefully this information is helpful fpr someone looking for work in the area.

Hearing great things, so hoping my experience is as good as you all.

Dion is a good guy and runs a nice shop... I think they do APR but just be careful since they don't offer anything beyond stage 1 so if you're going to upgrade down the line you'll need a new tuner.

    Interesting tip. Thanks for that.
For now, I have ordered coilovers, down pipes and exhaust…
Due to all arrive by mid September, so will be looking for a good shop to move forward with.

They will be able to take care of it for sure, but if you're doing a downpipe APR might not be an option.

Can you elaborate? What do you mean that stage 1 won’t be an option if I go with downpipes.

Stage 1 tune doesn't require hardware, if you do a downpipe you will need a stage 2 tune for the rear o2 sensor... if not you will have a check engine light. APR doesn't offer stage 2 tunes anymore. What car do you have?

This is very discouraging as I already bought the resonated downpipes, seeing that this was the better sounding setup. Didn’t see anywhere that this would be a problem. Damn

On the S4 it might work with just a stage 1 flash but I would double check with the tuner.

    Dion hooked it up!
    Awesome vibe at the shop.

Would definitely recommend and now stage 1 is finally here.
