Opinions on 2019 RS5 Coupe Offer

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, new member here. In the market for a new 2019 RS5, around PNW area. Pretty isolated and weak inventory so didn’t have much to compare with. Best offer I got is $77k selling price on $90,440 MSRP. I think invoice is about $85k. What do you guys think, should I be targeting for a better deal?

First time Audi shopper so no loyalty. The car has 56 miles on it and within 150 miles from where I live, to list some positive aspects.

    Thanks in advance!

    Stay safe..

I think that's a pretty decent deal! Have them throw in Audicare to seal the deal!

Eh, depending on how long ago the dealer originally got the car, test drives could get to that mileage. I wouldn't let that, alone, deter me.

I was the first customer to drive my 2019 RS5 SB, which still had most of the wrap on it when I test drove it from the back lot. When I got in the car it already had 45 miles on it. Audi does run these on a test track before shipping.

Think you can do bit better. Should be able to shoot for 20% off on a coupe.

Just as reference. I was able to get $72,500 on $94,490 MSRP on my left over 2018 RS5 coupe in Jul of last year. You should be able to get at least 20%+ off on the coupes. I had to get a car shipped from a dealer cross country, but was a painless process and well worth the savings, so maybe expand your search a bit more?

Yeah, I got 15% off my sportback in March. Others have reported getting upwards of 22% off coupes/sportbacks, since then. I'd push for more and see if they budge.

Yes, I saw those 20% discounts. Not sure if they are with the 2k loyalty from Audi.

Been trying since mid July, pretty firm with 77k. Others didn’t even get close. I didn’t check cross country though. Maybe I should try my luck elsewhere..

    Thanks guys, appreciated!

Will probably hold on to that a bit more. Can do a customer order Hellcat Redeye for the exact same amount. They gave me 18% on the order. Might as well consider that.

My dealer has a 2019 Coupe, so far the best I have gotten is 13% pre-incentives, and they don't seem to be very aggressive or serious with it. It also has 680 miles on it, which they cant tell me where they came from. Note they wont let anyone, myself included, test drive any RS models (I have bought 3 cars from them in the past 2 years, 2 of which are S models).

I would be a serious buyer at 20% off, and would get loyalty discount from Audi, but the miles on it and their whole attitude is turning me off. . . . So you wont let anyone drive it, including someone who has bought and referred plenty of sales to you, yet here it sits with almost 700 miles. Guess I should just keep the S4 and be happy that for most normal day to day driving, its perfectly serviceable for what I do.

I just got 20% off msrp plus 72 months zero interest on a ‘19 panther edition last month.

He sent me the invoice. MSRP was 88900 and invoice was 78. Just for perspective.

Combined, all of these would be enough to refuse giving my current/future business to this dealer. Not allowing a proven customer to test drive a $75k+ car, before purchasing, is simply asinine. You aren't a teenager (I assume) and this isn't a WRX/STI, which the younger generation would love to come in and "test drive", for fun. It sounds like this dealer just can't get out of their own way.

Are they hiding the monroney? Unless its been changed, the original dealer destination should be viewable.

Sorry, the origin of the miles, not the car, are the mystery (so they claim). Per the Monroney they are the destination dealer (originally they told me it was a dealer trade likely with the miles, thats when I pointed to the sticker with their name on it and ).

Yeah, the dealer is going in the wrong direction. They recently started itemizing 'Kahu Vehicle Security' as a $700 add on for each car. Its a vehicle tracking/geofencing/remember where you parked app, which I had to laugh at - pretty sure myAudi app does all the same.

Finally pulled the trigger today for $75k and 0% interest for 72 months. Best I could get after 25 days of back and forth.. No loyalty doesn’t help of course. Couldn’t get Audi Care either, not sure if it is super important but yeah..

However, I am happy with what I got and looking forward to start enjoying every bit of that Quattro here in PNW!! Will post some photos soon! Getting PPF + ceramic coating atm

    Cheers!

Nice work solid deal, $75k, 0% for 72 months that in itself has huge value!!!! They can't give away everything, if Audi Financial is not making any points on the deal then the dealer will need to get theirs. Just purchase Audi care it's $1k, well worth it. We have never really seen the so called "higher end dealers" Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc... have a 0% especially as far out as 72! That in itself is a Job well done, 75K for a $90k+msrp vehicle is a steal, a year ago when the market was strong and we did not know what Covid was, getting 0% on a 72 month you could not get that deal anywhere. The savings on that alone is massive. If I recall Tier 1 Audi Financial is/was/used to be 2.99%, with 800+ credit you could go outside of Audi and get a loan with BOA for 1.99%. But you going to 0% over 72 on a 2019 RS5 with under 100 miles, unheard of! On a 75k car (before taxes) will save you $100 month x 72 months; $7200! That is the best deal you could have negotiated. The only downside to this deal is you having to wait the 1000 miles while you break her in.

Totally agree. They had 6 RS5’s when I started negotiations and they now have only 1 left. Inventory is melting fast. I think the most important factor for me is that this is a pre-covid build. Pandemic has brought a lot of disruptions to supply chain and qa. I am probably overthinking but being a pre-covid build gives me some sort of extra confidence on the car :)

As posted on another thread - I just picked up a lightly optioned '19 RS5 Coupe (Nardo, Black Optics, Leather, B&0). $80K sticker - 14% discount, $2K Loyalty, 0% financing for 72 months and they threw in AudiCare. Above market trade on the '18 GTI as well. The deal was good enough.

+1 on purchasing the audicare. You have until 20k miles to do it. But if you pay for all your services out of pocket the total is like 3700. 1k is well worth it

Damn, those 0% financing deals because of a loyalty rate in the US? The best I've seen in Canada is 1.98%

I have never seen 0% on a RS product and have not seen pricing this aggressive either. Even if you were an Audi Club member the 6% discount did not apply on R and RS products. This is an opportune time to drive home in a RS5 when previously they may have been just out of reach financially.

Picked up a ‘19 RS5 coupe last night. 20% plus 2k loyalty and 2k USAA, all in right around 25% off. They did up the buy rate on the finance to .9 from zero, but I’m ok with that at the discount I got. Previously was told the car had 680 miles, not sure where that came from as it only had 72.

10/19 build, so about 8 months in their inventory. Daytona grey; black optic, fine nappa and B&O are the only options. Only thing I miss from the prestige S4 is the top view camera.

Originally was concerned about the lack of adaptive dampers, as I have only previous driven models with that package, but I find the fixed suspension absolutely perfect. In the S4, I could never find a good point on the adaptive suspension, I always felt like the dampening rate and spring rebound rate were just not working together correctly.

While I was happy with the S4, I’m much happier with this car. I assume the transmission programming on the RS is different than the S4, either that or it’s just better matches with the 2.9. I swear it feels like a totally different transmission, even though it’s the same ZF model right?

I bought two new Audis this summer, a '19 RS5 Coupe and a '20 S5 SB. I enjoy both cars, but I am amazed that when cruising on the freeway, the RS5 gets 2+ better mpg. The 2.9T engine , which is shared by the RS5 and the Panamerica S is an incredible engine. If you take advantage of it's power, of course you can watch the movement of the gas gauge, but when cruising(even at 75-85mph) the mpg is pretty good. To some, this doesn't matter, but it matters to me and think this is partially a result of fuel economy in endurance racing.
