RNS-E 193 OPS

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience on retrofitting Optical Parking System for the RNS-E in a B6.
My car's previous owner replaced the original RNS-E with a newer one. So that part is ok.

The A3 8P has that function. I haven't found much information about this online. I found a Polish site about this: https://a4-klub.pl/topic/361902-rns-...ops-8p0035193/

In theory, if I wire up a PDC unit from a 8P which supports the OPS and connect the PDC CAN to the RNS-E CAN Bus it should work?

Don’t think it’s possible. B6 has a limited CAN BUS network. Likely will not recognize any new signal and would require whole new CAN BUS. You could try and find out.

I’m still not sure. Audi made changes in the CAN BUS network with the B7 that the B6 doesn’t have. Those vids are in a B7.
