I know this topic has been covered before but I honestly was not aware of how terrible this was. So if my post can at least help one person not to be one more victim of SRM, I will feel a lot better. If anyone is thinking of pursuing legal action, contact me, I'm in.
On July 8 2019 I purchased new upgraded replacement cartridges for my Audi S4 turbos when they went bad on a car that I have overseas. I spoke to Silly Rabbit Motorsport and they suggested that I also purchase the lines that go to the turbos in order to benefit from the one year warranty they offer. 2 weeks and 300 Miles after installing the replacements cartridges went bad on me, so I immediately contacted Sean and Kyle from SRM. They said to please send them back for an inspection. This was around February of 2020. As soon as they received the turbos, I contacted Sean about the warranty, but they were quick enough to find a problem obviously blaming the installation. They claimed that the shop that installed the turbos did not use RTV silicone to install the cartridges hence over-spinning the turbos. I was not convinced because if this was such a big deal what they did not make me buy silicone as they did with their hoses. They also do not mention a thing on their website or on the package. Again, if it is so important why not at least put a WARNING? Anyways, I was in such need to get my turbos back, that I agreed, and purchased a second set of cartridges to fix the issue despite I still think this should have been a warranty issue. This was May 1st after some back and forth asking them to give me a price until they finally did so I paid them. Ever since that day I have been given the run around to get my turbos back. First, they blame it on the COVID since their turbos come from CHINA (Yes I Learned this the hard way, their products are Chinese remanufactured with SRM seals) then they told me they were going to give me a tracking number. That was months ago. Still, no tracking, 4 months later I can稚 get my turbos back nor I can get a hold of Sean or anyone at SRM, Now I知 HOSTAGE OF SRM because I have no turbos to even go to another company to get them fixed. I cannot even get an answer after I explained to them that the shop that has my car (in pieces) will soon be closing because of COVID. Now after paying months of storage, most likely I will have to get my car back in pieces and find someone else to build it. Obviously, that is a terrible scenario putting me in a very bad and costly situation.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SRM IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET SCREWED. Take my experience and RUN.
