Question Help! Navigation 0 Satellites Received Issue

Hey all, I've had my 2010 S4 for about 9 months now and since the day I got it the navigation/SiriusXM has not worked. The car's location on the map is roughly ~3000mi off, I'm in Atlanta and it thinks that I'm driving around in the middle of Greenland and sometimes the Atlantic Ocean, lol. I took it to a local shop and all they could do was reset the MMI which didn't work and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so I guess it's something only Audi could figure out and fix. I've tried the 3 finger salute and resetting the MMI multiple times over the past few months with no luck so at this point I'm not sure if it's just a software issue that can easily be fixed or if my shark fin antenna is somehow broken. I've read through a lot of navigation issue threads on here but I haven't really seen any for the B8 S4 so I'm not sure if it's a common issue for this car or not. I've scheduled an appointment for next Wednesday at my local dealer to get a navigation diagnostic but my only worry is if it is the shark fin antenna that's broken I've heard it's very expensive to replace. So, any of you guys who have had this issue or something similar, how did you go about fixing it? Thanks!

Check to make sure you don't have your navigation set as destination. That happened to me once a long time ago and I believe that's what I did to resolve the issue.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

Nope, I tried everything, even plugged in a new GPS antenna and still it wouldn't pick up any satellites. I think it might just be the software needs to be updated but I got quoted close to $900 at the dealer for that and that's just ludicrous. So I cut my losses and installed an RSNav wireless CarPlay module for $300, haven't touched the factory infotainment since .

Just tried it, still no luck. I've made some progress though lol, the car moved from Greenland to only 1 state away from me but it's still got a mind of its own. Oh well. Glad I have CarPlay now.

Update: So after 11 straight months of 0 satellites received, this evening it randomly started working for the first time ever since I’ve owned the car. I have no clue what caused it to work, I know it didn’t work after I installed wireless CarPlay so that didn’t cause it. It only started working as I was toying around with my AC panel. I unplugged it and plugged in a facelifted panel, then plugged my old panel back in. After that I hit the nav button and decided to see which state the car thought I was in today and my jaw dropped when I saw I was picking up 7 satellites. Maybe try completely unplugging your AC panel and plugging it back in? Idk, sounds so weird but I guess it somehow did it for me lol! I’m actually kind of mad that it decided to start working now after I installed CarPlay(it was the main reason I got CarPlay in the first place) because now I won’t ever use the factory nav! All these values in the green menu used to be 0, honestly, I am so confused right now as to why it decided to start working.
