Ross Tech fault codes

Anyone know what the fault codes 4695, 4698 and 4699 (Function restriction due to faults in other modules) could mean? Pretty vague and there were no other fault codes. I just did my first scan with VCDS and this is the only item that popped up. I don’t have any issues, CELs and just want to make sure everything is okay before I start logging 3rd gear pulls. I do have a stage 2+ tune with K04 turbo.

There are no "ross tech fault codes" There are Audi DTC codes and generic OBD codes (like Pxxxx and Cxxxx).

From my understanding the U1113 00 codes occur whenever there is a communication issue between modules.

Yours are now "Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear" which indicates that whatever caused the communication error is no longer present.

Have you tried resetting all codes to see if they return?

As old guy said, all three Audi codes boil down to the same OBD generic code, U1113, comms fault. So the message is saying "I'd love to be fully operational, but I'm missing information I need from some other module" Could be an actual comms failure, or a problem in the data source module that prevents the module supplying the expected data. But as you see in your scan, everything seems to be fine everywhere. So just clear codes and see how it goes.

Sometimes you have to clear DTCs in two waves when the DTCs are based on another module's DTC. For example, I pulled the door harness plug while the ignition was on. Lights and codes galore. So I cleared DTCs but parking brake module still had a "fault in ABS module" DTC set, though the other module no longer had a DTC set. So clear it again and now it was all clear.

As for what specifically do the Audi codes 04695 vs 04698 vs 04699 imply? Good luck finding that out. Here we see an example from a C6 A6:
4695-U1113 Function restriction due to received malfunction value - short to ground.
4699-U1113 Function restriction due to received malfunction value - open circuit.
But who knows where that text interpretation of the DTC values came from, and if they are relevant to a B8.

Thank you for the help everyone. I cleared the codes and will wait to see if they pop back up. Since they were such generic fault codes I wasn’t too worried but will post on Ross Tech’s forum if they come up again.

as i said earlier these codes come up when it is being force fed a tune ( Hence the comm errors ) ... a good tuner clears them all before returning the car to you.... i had zero codes... got my tune, got it back and scanned, had all these codes, cleared them out and car has been fine for a year,
