    Injector Teflon Seals

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Does anyone know where to get the Teflon injector seals for our FSI motors. I've looked for hours and all I can find is the complete "injector seal kit" which includes the metal buckets and stuff I don't need to replace for $40 a pop. All I need is the little white teflon "combustion chamber seal".

Can't attest to this kit but it may help you with part numbers. You can probably most easily order it directly from a VW or Audi dealership parts department.

I work at a VW dealership, and they only come as a kit. It sucks but they're assuming since you have your injector out that you'll be replacing all seals. And personally if you've had injectors out replace them all. Better to spend the money than to tear the intake back off because a seal rolled or your injectors are leaking.

I bought the seal kit in the past when replacing my injectors. My new injectors came with the seal already installed so I only needed to use the o-rings. I think I saved them in case I needed them in the future. Let me know if you want to buy them. You need a special tool to install the seals though.

Well with the seal kit costing 30 or $40 plus shipping it's almost easier just to buy new injectors at 80 something. the only other o-ring that needs to be replaced is the top Viton o-ring which doesn't even wear out and costs about $0.10 online

I did notice that there are a few different types of kits and there is a cheaper kit that comes with the 6-cylinder or 4-cylinder and does not include the buckets. This kid looks like it does include the white Teflon seal perhaps this is a cheaper option?

I ordered 3 of these when doing my PVC and 1 injector pulled out. Figured I'd do all 3 on that side while I was in there. Only could get 2/3 injectors out.
