Good injectors for 2.0t? I see cheap set of 4 for $50 and other sets cast $150...

Since I am rebuilding my motor soon im thinking of replacing the injectors since there is a TSB on them. I been searching on here and google for a decent price on a name brand but the prices range fro $50 to $200....

I will be adding the k04 and a tune soon after the rebuild, does anyone have any good suggestions or experiences without me spending $200?

    bosch is the oem supplier

b8 non flex fuel cars latest injector revision is AB

    06H906036AB

they should be around 50-60$ per injector, obviously the VW/Audi branded bosch injectors will cost more

tip : fcpeuro.com has lifetime warranty on all parts

My car doesnt have flex fuel that I am aware of. Yea Bosch injectors are over $200. That is a little crazy! I bought 8 Bosch injectors for my Dodge ram for $75, that shows that name is why the price is so high lol.

    https://www.fuelfreedom.org/our-work...101/check-car/

That link says it isnt flex fuel.

there is multiple styles of injectors bosch makes, direct injection would probably cost more vs port injection.

fcp has them for 47$ each and youd literally never have to buy another injector again if one fails

Im wondering about the ebay ones for $60 for all 4 with lifetime warranty's.. If anyone has ever tried them or tested their output compared to stocks. I understand Bosch is the best and the most expensive but I was asking about a cheaper solution people have tried lol. Not everyone that ever owned this engine put bosch in at $200+ :p

you're turning your car into more a performance build with a bigger turbo. It might work well stock but who knows when the rail pressure is increased. its a buy once, cry once scenairo to know youll get dependable results using hardware the tune was developed for.

i have no problem spending a few extra to ensure good results when attempting to push the car well beyond factory levels, fuel delivery is super important and not really an area id cut corners, im not really the stingy/cut corners type tho either, when i replace a part i want to know i wont have to redo it again shortly.

for me the time i spend doing the installs is worth more to me than whatever i usually spend on the part im installing

edit : bosch in manufactured in turkey so the odds of buying from a ebay seller in china who can get them direct from the factory is very low, maybe a european seller may have that connection tho

I dont need that o-ring kit do it? It adds and extra $30. The injectors would come with o-rings installed id think.

maybe i can find a 4th of july sale somewhere

honestly, this could be rather interesting

you might be the first full ebay build if you stick with it, there will probably be some trial and error and hit/misses

    internals, turbo, fueling

get a ebay suspension, intake, exhuast, and IC and would have a full ebay build

be interesting to see how would compare to some members with all brand name equivalent parts in terms of power on a dyno and track slips, you are a a5 tho so track times may not be a fair comparison to us a4 guys

new injectors come with both the fuel rail o ring and the combustion chamber seal, however, the 3 prong clips are not inlcuded with new injectors and are easily broken, can just reuse the metal clips that rest over the injector

edit: can try searching by the bosch parrt number the "62819" i think it is vs using the audi part number. May lead you to some cheaper options

Nah, when the cars done ill post what I used and prices and links and updates but right now no because I want information easier to find in the future for users rather than having than comb though 80 pages of a build thread to find one bit of information.

I can appreciate that. You could also devote the first page of a build thread to a parts list, then you edit it with the part, price, link, etc, broken down into categories as you go along. Might make it easier than having to keep track of parts and document everything at the very end.

I will do that when the car is done. Another problem with a build thread is asking questions. You get answers much faster if the threads are separate and people years from now will find them much faster. Even tho some people like to complain in threads the answer is still much easier to find in the future when a post is dedicated to a certain subject. and not 50 in one thread that a search will never find.

on a real note tho, you should probably seek out professional assistance before attempting to time the motor, especially if its you're first time working on a euro.

that could cause some expensive head work if mistakes are made.

I actually went to an IT school for mechanics, Ive built many motors over the years. Just because I try to save money doesn't mean I don't know what Im doing lol. Actually just finished taking an engine out of a 2014 CRV, putting a new transmission in and changing the headgasket for a dealer... they put in the cheapest parts as possible as well thats for sure.

Ive built so many 3000GT VR4 engines I cant even tell ya.

I bought the Bosch injectors tho from fcpeuro, they gave me 10% off for first time buyer.

I actually was being serious. If he goes this route and it ends up being robust maybe we can all learn something.
Personally I would not want to risk doing a job twice or having a cheap shit part destroy my build, but everyone's risk tolerance is different.

I think you will be good with this combo, at the very least you’ll never have to pay for injectors ever again.

Depending on the status of your current coils you might want to pick up some from them as well.

For some reason this car is very hard on coils and Injectors.
Likey because the coils see heat bolted to.the engine and injectors are right in the combustion chamber.
These things will fail. Especially if you are building beyond stock..
