Is it compatible with factory accordion intake pipe or do we need to replace those too?

This is a good upgrade. I purchased and installed it on my S5. My comment would be that the install is not as easy as indicated. The bottom hex/torx bolt is very difficult to remove unless you have the right wrench or right angle bit adapter to get in there with. The oil filter housing and inter-cooler piping make it very difficult to get any leverage and maneuver. I don't recommend this but I ended up cutting off the plastic piping using a multi-tool to have the room to remove the bottom bolt. Attaching it was not easy either. Just my experience and I hope it was easier for others. An install video from ECS may have helped make the process smoother for novices like myself. All-in-all a good part though and a noticeable difference in my opinion. Their is definitely more air-flow happening. You can feel it and I notice that it just feels smoother as it accelerates to red line. Like the car is breathing better. I installed the racingline filter replacement in the stock air box and noticed even more difference.

Hey ECS... quick question... is your ECS Inter-Cooler compatible with the B9 S5. According to your website, "It Does Not Fit." Is there a reason why if S4/S5 share same engine? Does it have anything to do with the frame up front? If it is compatible, I intend to purchase it.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the bottom screw out of the inlet? I was using a flex drive but I still wasn't able to get to it.

Very difficult to remove. I ended up using a multi took to cut the plastic inlet pipe off so I could get to the bottom screw. I figured, I'm not going back once i put the new inlet pipe on. I then used a pair of pliers to grip the torx bit and tighten slowly. It was a real pain in the @$$. I also unscrewed the top of the oil filter cap to allow for a little more room to work with. A local auto store more thank likely sells the torx key sets which I picked up cheap at an Ace hardware for $5. Wish I had it when I started the removal process. Would have been easier.

    Update:

I took my S5 to my Audi Dealer to have installed the ECS Big Bore Cast Aluminum Turbo Inlet Pipe and their Silicon Turbo Inlet Hose. After doing 5 or 6 pulls I can tell you that I could feel immediately the benefit of installing them. It’s like the Turbo is breathing so much better, and that traduced in a very positive way on how it pulls from mid to upper revs. I’m Very happy with it !

FYI- After much pain and busted knuckles I found that Lowes had a Kobalt mini ratchet set with a closed back end. This took the job from more than an hour to less than 15 minutes in and out. If you're going to do this install I HIGHLY recommend finding yourself a mini ratchet with a closed back end. This will allow you to work much faster as you can push on the fastener to get the thread started. I also found that using a flat head screw driver to apply some friction on the head of the fastener helped when there is no preload on the bolt.

That’s a good tip. I have one of those tiny ratchets that uses screwdriver bits. I seem to use it more than anything else I own . It was only $5 on Amazon

Apparently the one I got from Lowe's is not on their web site. I found this on Amazon which looks similar.

I just installed it about an hour of work with a mini ratchet. The bottom hex bolt sucks so bad! I wish ECS would had provided a better bolt for the bottom where a tool would be easier to grab it. Also the rubber grommet that comes with it would not adjust on the pipe, had to put some clear tape to hold it together until i had enough of the screws in. I did notice harder pulls once installed.
