I'm happy I got to 0-60mph in under 4 seconds. My best 0-60mph(1ft) was 3.65 seconds and without 1ft rollout it was 3.93 seconds. For the 1/4 mile I was hoping to get under 12 seconds but I slowed down quickly shortly after my 0-60 was logged because I was worried about getting pulled over even though I was in an industrial area with barely any traffic. I will try again another day for a better time. Switching to summer tires will help shave some time off. I live in Florida and don't need all season tires but they came with the car. I'll be switching to summer tires soon.

For this particular tank, I did 3 gallons of E85 (ethanol could be anywhere from E70-E85 as written on the pump), and 8.5 gallons of 93 (ethanol up to 10%). 14.5 gallon tank, so still had 3 gallons of 93 in there when I filled it, which is how I arrived at the ~E20 number.

Worth nothing: I didn't see any significant changes to 0-60 or ¼ mile times, although I'm in no way tuned for ethanol. Ethanol has a cooling effect as well so perhaps when pushing the car, less timing was pulled, but I haven't logged/analyzed enough to see that.

Possibly dumb question, but how fast is a 12 second quarter mile? What other cars are running very low 12's? What would these times compare to, for other cars?

I've never tracked my car or timed anything and rarely ever come across cars on the street that are worth racing.

Stock 2020 Audi RS3: Quarter-mile in 11.9-12.1 seconds

Stock 2020 Audi RS6 Avant Performance: Quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds

Stock 2020 Audi RS7 Sportback: Quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds. With a second person inside the cabin and a fully loaded trunk, it did the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds.

Stock BMW M4 Coupe: Quarter-mile in 12.1 seconds

I did a quick Google search for these times. Audi is conservative with their times as well. With a Stage 1 or 2 tune and/or e85 the RS3, RS6, and RS7 are 10 second quarter-mile cars. There are videos of the RS3 and other tuned RS cars running 9 second quarter miles as well.
0-60mph times are tricky because in the U.S. the two most popular car magazines use 1ft rollout while in Europe they do not so the 0-60mph times are more conservative. The other day I beat a BMW M4 from a standstill at a traffic light and kept pulling away.

Thanks for the reply! Wasn't aware how fast an RS7 was, but it's pretty impressive a relatively lightly modded S3 is in the low 12's. Of the cars I've ever raced, an M4 was the only one I've lost to, but this was on the freeway. I'm only stage 1, but I've always been wanting to come across one at a red light.

M4's (and M3's) are awesome and beautiful in my opinion but like with many RWD cars they can suffer from wheel spin at launch. Audi has Quattro AWD (I know, S3 is Haldex AWD) and has one of the best launch control systems out there. If it was a rolling race I'm pretty sure the M4 would have beat me though. Mid 11 quarter-mile times are possible on a Stage 2 S3 under optimal conditions. Hopefully once I get summer tires and get more familiar with launching I can get into the high 11s 1/4 mile range.

It’s relatively going to depend on how your tune is setup and what boost your tuner chose to set on LC. Um is set to 8psi.

I’ve tried a thousand combinations and that’s what works best for me, each time I hold boost and let it build and launch at 4K it’s a worse 60 and 1/4. My tires can be a contributing factor as well, conti sports are a far cry from pss or PS4S. You’re running all season tires which in my opinion you won’t benefit from full boost on launch.

You just have to try different ways and see what works for your car.

You’d have to get back to APR and cross reference the vin and ask them what they set it. Usually they leave it stock unless otherwise someone asks different. I just think you need a good set of tires instead of the all season you’re running.

My S3 was my daily driver until this quarantine started and now I move my car 2 or 3 times a week. I don't go to the track and may hit the drag strip once just for the experience. For a good summer tire I've been looking into the Firehawk Indy 500 and the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2.

I use the Ventus V12's. I'm not exactly sure what to look for, but I've had zero issues. Once I had my Haldex fixed, the grip on those tires has been amazing. Stomach dropping launches.

I had the v12's on my s2000 and they were great. Now I use the kumho ps91 on the s3 because they were the cheapest decent summer tire I could find. and so far I like them but I dont really drive the car hard enough to attest to their grip

Correct. However It will cost you an extra $450 to add this option. I spent $1950 for the 3 Tunes I wasn’t about to spend more.

Thanks. Car is full weight. Nothing removed...probably a little weight added(car seat, ECS street shield).

When launching on the street I like to hold around 50% or so throttle with the tach barely bouncing off the limit(3800 rpm). Then I release the brake and floor the throttle simultaneously. Launches pretty good on the street with all seasons using this technique.
