Off light flashing on and off next to AC button. Component protection active code??

The off light just flashes, no fans no nothing works. Im not sure when this happened but it was working a few days ago. Only thing I can think of what happened since then is I got my OBDeleven tool and edited some of the radio stuff as in lowing the input .db and Turning on AUX permanently.
Nothing works, no heat no cold no nothing.

I did put a jumper wire from one flasher switch to another for the airbag light for the RSNAV, Thats when I noticed it flashing as I did that today. I unhooked it and put it back to normal and it still is messed up so im figuring it wasnt that.

There is a fault code in the Gateway
    Control Module Incorrectly Coded
    01044

    Climatronic control module
    01320

There is also a code saying
Component protection active on the AC section in OBDeleven.
    02095

That code is concerning since it says I have to pay Audi $150 to fix it? The code comes from used parts from what I am reading but nothing has changed in my car. There is no new parts or used parts from another car....

I gives me zero info tho

There was a code transmission lost communication with HVAC, but I cleared it and didn't write down the code.

I am not to familiar with OBDeleven yet but I tried to click on a few tests but they always say not set up right or something so it doesnt run a test.

Have you cleared all codes yet to see which come back?
Disconnecting a jumper wire will not in itself fix the problem. The controlling module needs to be told to look again. That's what clearing the codes will do.

Yes I have reset the code every time, it comes right back. I set the whole system back to stock I removed the rsnav put everything bac to factory and it still didnt fix it after resetting the codes again. If I unplug the climate control unit and plug it back in I have full control over it for about 2 seconds before it goes into protection mode again.

How to disable Component protection active?
I refuse to pay audi $150 to disable it... None of my parts have changed from stock.

This might help. Clicky click® You can't remove it with OBDEleven or VCDS.

I dont know how you find this stuff lol.
I cant do that tho since all my parts are original equipment. It really sucks becuase I cant control any of my climate control. Im not exactly sure why it even happened since I changed nothing in my car besides added RSNAV. Then tried to remove the airbag light with a jumper to hook both flashers together.

So it started happening right after you did a hack jumping wires and you're pretty sure it wasn't that huh? I'm pretty sure it was. My guess is you somehow managed to clear the programming and now your car doesn't recognize your module. I doubt there is any way around this other than taking it to the dealer because that's the whole point of component protection. If you know someone with access to VCDS it's worth doing a full scan to see if you get anything more detailed than the OBDeleven results.

Yea I would agree something happened when you connected the wires. You just need to go to Audi and get the CP corrected. Here is some more info on CP. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ent-protection There are lots of threads but for what you need corrected, it's not worth it to try you work around
