Is there a way to reset the inspection due without a scanner tool. I completed the oil change and inspection. I can reset the oil change but not the inspection. Was just wondering if there was a way to reset it without a scanner tool.

I've done it before using car systems menu in the MMI.

Yes I used car systems menu to reset the oil change ,but there nothing in there to reset the inspection. According to the owners manual the only thing you can reset is the oil change. It said something about seeing dealer for maintenance resets.

I could have sworn that I reset something other than the oil change before.

I'd check the menu myself, but I don't have the car right now, as it is out getting paint-corrected. I'll get it back later today, and I'll check. What MMI do you have? Maybe that makes a difference. I have the 3G+.

I followed this video when I checked mine. Though I am fairly sure yours should be a 3G+ like mine.

    Also, I was wrong.

I looked it up, and it's just the oil change service that you can reset.

I think my buddy reset my inspection notice when he worked on my car late last year. He has an official Pro subscription to Audi/Euro software for his Snap-On OBD scanner tool. Costs him like 2K+/yr. just for that.

Thank You Carrrnuttt, I appreciate you checking. I have a friend at a trans shop that can reset it for me. Thanks again.

Yep, oil change reset is via MMI, inspection is Audi shop only. That was the one that pushed me over the edge into buying a genuine ross-tech cable. So long nag, I'll do my inspections in my own garage than you very much.

What service is supposed to be done with the service notification?

BTW you can reset the service notification with Carista. I did not know about the oil chane through the MMI. When I did my oil I reset the "service" with my Carista and the oil change 10000 reset
